June 28, 2006 CFM Corp. Recalls Sequoia Wood Burning Fireplaces for Fire Hazard

Only models EWF30, EWF36, and EWF36A are affected by this recall. The recalled fireplaces are 400 or 700 pound steel plate wood-burning fireplaces with the trade name "Sequoia." The fireplaces measure 30-inches-wide or 36-inches-wide, have doors which seal them and are designed for installation in openings in the walls of homes that connect to chimneys. August 2, 2005 DESA Heating Products Recall of Compact Gas Fireplaces

The recall includes DESA Heating Products 10,000 Btu Thermostatically Controlled Compact Classic Hearth Fireplaces that burn propane or natural gas. They have the following model names and number: Vanguard (VMH10TPC & VMH10TNC) and FMI (EFS10TPA & EFS10TNA). They have serial numbers between 015200000 and 017400000. The model and serial numbers are on the end of the shipping carton and on the model data tags inside the lower access door of the compact fireplaces. Read more.


April 27, 2005 Heat & Glo Recall of Gas Fireplaces

The recall involves all HEAT-N-GLO® Gem 36 and Gem 42 direct vent gas fireplaces. The model number is located on the rating plate inside the unit on the base pan in front of the gas control. The rating plate can be accessed by removing the lower grille on the fireplace. This recall also includes Gem 36 fireplaces that recently received a replacement burner assembly. Read more.


July 16, 2004 Marshall Field's Recall of Fire Pit Spark Screen

The recalled Sean Conway spark screens act as a cover over the top of a copper fire pit that sits in a black, three-legged stand. The spark screens have an item number of 525-90-0800 and a UPC number of 97169934567. The Sean Conway Fire Pit is not included in this recall. Read more.
