July 3, 2012 Innovage Recalls Discovery Kids Lamps Due to Fire and Burn Hazards

This recall involves Discovery Kids Animated Marine and Safari Lamps that feature rotating films with marine or safari scenes. The words "Discovery Kids" are printed on the front top-left corner of the product. The recalled products have both an 11-digit batch number that begins with either 584894 or 10128 and a model number of 1628626, 1642433, 1641522, 1641523, 1645729, or 1645853. Batch numbers can be found imprinted in the plastic underneath the lamps and on the bottom of the packaging. Model numbers can be found on stickers placed underneath the lamps and on the bottom of the packaging near the barcode. Read more.




February 7, 2012 Designs Direct Recalls Rooster-Themed Lamps Sold Exclusively at Fred's Inc. Due to Risks of Shock and Fire

This recall involves Living Traditions 21-inch rooster-themed lamps. The brown polyresin lamps have an off-white shade and a carved 9-inch rooster affixed to the base. A label on the underside of the base reads "Distributed By Fred's Inc" and "SKU 61589." Read more.


February 2, 2012 Overarching Floor Lamp Recalled by West Elm Due to Shock Hazard

The Overarching Floor Lamp is 77 inches tall with a 19-inch diameter base and a curving arm that extends the lamp about 5 feet from the base. The arm and base are made of polished nickel. January 12, 2012 Big Lots Recalls Floor Lamps Due to Shock Hazard

This recall involves Classic Quarters Five Light Floor Lamps. The lamps stand about five feet tall and have a gunmetal or chrome colored metal pole and five adjustable lights mounted on flexible metal tubes at the top. Dark plastic or multi-colored double plastic shades cover each of the five lights. Recalled lamps use standard incandescent or CFL bulbs and have labels marked with the model number “G-1843-5” affixed to the underside of the lamp base. These lamps can be further identified by SKU numbers 612007239, 612007829 or 612008982 at the beginning of the instructions. Lamps that use candelabra bulbs are not subject to this recall and can be identified by labels marked with the model number “G-1844-5B” and SKU numbers 612009036 or 612009037 in the instructions. June 21, 2011 Christmas Tree Shops Recall Animated Safari and Aquarium Lamps Due to Fire and Shock Hazards

This recall involves Safari and Aquarium themed lamps with UPC numbers 000015556905, 000015618955, 000015821591 and 000015821607 printed on the price label on the cardboard packaging. The decorative lamps are silver and feature rotating films with aquatic and safari scenes. While there are no brand markings directly on the product, "Made in China" is printed on the bottom of the lamp. Read more.

January 6, 2011 Quoizel Inc. Recalls Outdoor Hanging Lantern Due to Fall Hazard

The recall involves outdoor hanging lanterns labeled as "Northridge" in the Quiozel 2009 Catalog with the model number #AGNT1912K. The lantern is made of black aluminum; yellow, orange and white glass; and red, orange and beige agate stones. It is 19.5" tall and 12" diameter. The model number is located on the side of the lantern's box, on a tag attached to the lantern, on the instruction sheet and on the lantern's ceiling mount. Read more.
