December 6, 2012 Ridgid Pneumatic Nailers Recalled by One World Technologies Due to Laceration or Injury Hazard; Sold Exclusively at the Home Depot

The recalled pneumatic nailers are used to secure fasteners into roofs and woodwork. The orange and gray hand held drill-shaped tools have the name "RIDGID" on the side of the nailers in white type on a black panel. March 11, 2010 Coil Nailers Recalled by Hitachi Koki Due to Serious Injury Hazard

The coil nailers are used to project nails into drywall, wood or other materials. The model number is NV83A2 and can be found on the body of the product. Only those units manufactured between October 2002 and September 2005 are included in this recall. The manufacturing date can be identified by the serial number engraved at the end of the handle, the first digit representing the month (1 for January, 2 for February, 3 for March, 4 for April, 5 for May, 6 for June, 7 for July, 8 for August, 9 for September, O for October, N for November and D for December) and the second digit representing the year (2 for 2002, 3 for 2003, 4 for 2004 and 5 for 2005). August 5, 2008 DEWALT Recalls Cordless Brad Nailers Due to Injury Hazard

This recall involves the DEWALT DC608 18 Volt Cordless 2” 18 Gauge Straight Brad Nailer with date codes 200728 through 200821. “DC608” is located on the right side of the magazine. The date code can be found on the underside of the handle, once the battery pack is removed. Units stamped with an “M” following the date code are not included in this recall. Read more.


May 15, 2008 Fuel Cells Used With Framing Nailers Recalled by Paslode for Fire Hazard

June 3, 2005 DeWALT Recall to Repair Framing Nailers

The recall involves new DeWALT D51844 and D51845 Heavy-Duty 20° Full Round Head Framing Nailers, and new DeWALT Model D51722 Heavy Duty 31° Clipped Head Framing Nailers. The recalled units have the following date codes: 200203, 20024, 200217, 200302, 200304, 200308, 200315, 200325, 200329, 200343, 200403, 200404, 200406, 200407, 200412, 200413, 200415, 200416 and 200417. The location of the date code is shown on the photograph below. The new units have a rework date code of 200449DM, 200450DM, 200451DM or 200452DM on the carton. The recall also involves reconditioned DeWALT D51844R and D51845R Heavy-Duty 20° Full Round Head Framing Nailers, and reconditioned DeWALT Model D51822R and D51823R Heavy Duty 31° Clipped Head Framing Nailers, with date codes 200423 through 200509.
