June 30, 2011 Hamilton Beach Recalls Toasters Due to Fire Hazard

The Hamilton Beach recall involves model 22600 toasters with specific series codes. These series codes begin with the letters C or D, and have the format of CXXXXBI or DXXXXBI, where XXXX is a four-digit number ranging from 0190 through 5290. The model number and series code are printed on the bottom of the toaster. The toaster has a chromed steel exterior, a front control panel with a rotary toast shade selector and function buttons arranged in an arc, a front removable crumb tray and Hamilton Beach printed across the front of the toaster. June 12, 2009 W.P. Appliances Inc. Recalls Wolfgang Puck Toaster Oven/Toasters

The recalled toasters have model number WPTOT010 and date code 3608 or 3908 on an Underwriters Laboratories (UL) label, which is affixed to the back of the unit. The black and silver toasters have “Wolfgang Puck” stamped on the lower front right corner. They feature a silver handle on the oven door, three black knobs for controlling cooking, and a black push-down lever for toasting. Two slots for toasting bread and similar products are located on the top of the toaster. Toasters with model number BTOT0010 or WPTOT010 and date codes 0207, 0407, 0607, 0807, 4508, or 0309 are not included in this recall. Read more.

January 6, 2009 Viking Range Corp. Recalls Toasters Due to Shock Hazard

The recall involves Viking Professional Four-Slot Toasters, model numbers VT400WH, VT400BK, VT400GG, VT400SG, VT400BR and VT400CB. The toaster has a label on its underside that states in part, “Viking, UL Listed 73D3, Viking Range Corporation, Model VT400 Series”. Read more.


September 30, 2008 Wal-Mart Recalls General Electric Toasters Due to Fire and Shock Hazards

The recalled toasters have a chrome steel body, a black plastic base and controls with either two or four openings in the top. The GE logo is located on the front of the toasters just above the controls. Model numbers 169115 and 169116 are included in this recall. The model number is printed on the bottom of the toasters.
