August 3, 2023 Philips Avent Digital Video Baby Monitors Recalled by Philips Personal Health Due to Burn Hazard

This recall involves Philips Avent video baby monitors used to remotely monitor infants. They consist of a Baby Unit (camera) and a Parent Unit (monitor) pair. The monitor has a 3.5-inch color screen. The recalled baby monitors include models SCD630 and SCD843 only, manufactured between March 2016 and December 2019. The model numbers and production date codes, in day-month-year format, are located on the bottom of the Parent Unit. The monitors and camera are white. Philips Avent is printed on the front. June 22, 2023 Infanttech Recalls Zooby Video Baby Monitors for Cars Due to Fire Hazard (Recall Alert)

This recall involves Zooby video baby monitors for cars. The baby monitors are housed in a plush animal toy including a giraffe, dog, fox, rabbit and panda. The recalled Zoobys have battery model number HJ554050 batch 2136. Unscrew the battery door with a small screwdriver from the bottom of the plush camera. The battery shows the markings 554050 which is the model number and 2136 which is the production batch number. The brand name Zooby is on the bottom front of the monitor. Read more.


April 23, 2014 Summer Infant Expands Recall to Replace Video Monitor Rechargeable Batteries Due to Burn Hazard

The recall involves rechargeable batteries in Summer Infant handheld color video monitors. The rechargeable batteries are about 1 ½" tall by 2 ¼" wide and are ¼" thick, black, and are marked with TCL on the lower right corner of the battery. Monitors are sold with a matching camera and A/C adaptors. November 21, 2013 Angelcare Recalls to Repair Movement and Sound Baby Monitors After Two Deaths Due to Strangulation Hazard

The recall involves the Movement and Sound Monitor manufactured by Angelcare. This design of baby monitor includes a unique sensor pad placed inside the crib, under the mattress, to monitor movement of the baby. An electrical cord about 11 feet long is permanently connected from the sensor pad to the nursery monitor unit. The hazard is created by a cord within reach of a baby inside the crib. The cord can be pulled into the crib and can wrap around the child's neck. The recall involves all versions of Angelcare sensor monitors including model numbers: AC1100, AC201, AC300, AC401 AC601 and 49255 that did not include rigid cord covers, offered in the remedy. February 11, 2011 Rechargeable Batteries in Video Baby Monitors Recalled to Replace by Summer Infant Due to Burn Hazard; Sold Exclusively at Babies R Us

The recall involves Summer Infant Slim and Secure handheld color video monitors with unmarked, MP and BK rechargeable batteries. The Video Monitor is sold in either silver and white, model #02800; or pink and white, model #02805. It has receiver and camera components. The receiver is approximately 4 ¼” tall and 2 ½” wide with a 2.5” LCD screen with the “Summer” logo printed in white on the bottom front. The camera is silver and white. Both the video monitor and receiver components come with A/C adapters but only the receiver unit contains a rechargeable battery. The batteries are unmarked or marked with letters MP or BK on the lower right corner of the battery. Batteries that are marked TCL are not included in this recall. Read more.



August 12, 2010 Circus World Recalls Wireless Video Baby Monitors Due to Overheating Hazard

This recall involves Levana wireless baby monitors with model number LV-TW300. The receiver front is white and green with six round buttons and the printed word "Levana". It is 7 inches tall and includes a stand/base. The camera is all white, about 5 inches tall and is attached to a 3 1/2 inch long white base. The camera can rotate and swivel in various directions.
