December 9, 2020 Burley Recalls Child Bicycle Seats Due to Crash Hazard

This recall involves Dash X FM frame mount child bicycle seats (model number 924004). The recalled child seats have a serial number beginning in P924 and a lot number beginning in the letter D or E. The serial number and lot number are located on the lower rear of the child seats, on the white label that has "BURLEY" printed on it. "DASH X" is engraved on the rear of the child seat, near the top. Read more.

November 25, 2020 Santa Cruz Bicycles Recalls Bicycles with Aluminum Frames Due to Fall Risk

This recall involves the model year 2020 aluminum frames on Santa Cruz models Nomad 4a Aluminum, Bronson 3a Aluminum and the 5010 3a Aluminum and Juliana models Roubion 3a Aluminum and Furtado 3a Aluminum. The Nomad 4a Aluminum is black or eggplant (purple) color; the Bronson 3a Aluminum is red tide or olive color, and the 5010 3a Aluminum is dark gray and robins egg (light blue). The Roubion 3a Aluminum is maritime gray and the Furtado 3a Aluminum is fog (light gray). The name "Santa Cruz" or "Juliana" appears on the downtube of the bicycle frame. The model names appear in different locations on the front and rear triangles, depending on the model. Only frames without six small indents above the first letter of the serial number are included in this recall. The serial number is located on the bottom bracket shell. Read more.

October 15, 2020 Peloton Recalls PR70P Bike Pedals Due to Laceration Hazard (Recall Alert)

The pedals being recalled are the PR70P or first-generation pedal fitted on Peloton bikes sold between July 2013 and May 2016. The Peloton logo and the word "PELOTON" are molded into the pedal body. An orange Peloton symbol and white lettering spelling "PELOTON" are printed on the top of the cleat binding. Pedals are warranted for one year and all remaining PR70P Clip-In pedals in service are out of warranty. Peloton recommends that consumers replace pedals annually. Read more.

September 23, 2020 Specialized Bicycle Components Recalls Sirrus Bicycles with Alloy Cranks Due to Fall and Injury Hazards

This recall involves the 2019-2020 model year Sirrus, Sirrus X and Sirrus Sport bicycles. The bicycles were sold in 27 different colors. Consumers can determine if their bicycle is part of the recall if "Sirrus" or "Sirrus X" is written on the top tube of the bicycle and the model name (e.g. "3.0") is written on the seatstay of the bicycle. This recall includes the alloy models of Rocky Mountain model year 2018-2020 Instinct, Instinct BC and Pipeline trail bikes. Rocky Mountain is printed on the downtube. Instinct, Instinct BC or Pipeline are printed inside the seatstay on the left hand side. The bikes were sold with 29 inch and 27.5+ inch wheels. The recalled bikes include small, medium and large sizes with serial numbers starting with PRK17, PRK18 and PRK19-XXXXX. The serial number is located under the bottom frame bracket. Only non-electric bicycles with alloy frames in all colors in these models with these serial numbers are affected. One end of the spindle is attached to the end of the crank arm of the bicycle. The other end of the spindle is secured to the pedal body with a fastener. December 19, 2019 BMC Recalls Bicycles and Framesets Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves all model year 2018 and 2019 Teammachine SLR01 DISC bicycles and framesets. The product is a performance road bike. BMC is printed on the downtube. The bikes and framesets were sold in red, green, grey, graphite, blue and aqua green. Recalled models contain serial numbers starting with 8R17 and 8R18, followed by one letter and a four-digit code, which is printed on the underside of the bottom bracket of the bicycle. Only bicycles and framesets with a FK6 fork require a replacement fork, which will be confirmed by BMC authorized dealers during the free inspection.
