The recall involves BMX bicycles. The model name is printed on the bicycle. Recalled models include the following: January 9, 2007- Cannondale Recalls 2007 Model Road Bicycles Due to Brake Failure
The recalled road racing bicycles are made from aluminum and carbon fiber or all carbon fiber. The model name is printed on the bicycle’s top tube. They were sold in the following colors: natural aluminum/carbon, red, black or black and blue. Recalled models include: October 25, 2006- Bicycle Pedals Recalled by Time Sport International Due to Fall Hazard
The recalled pedals are black or gray. They are made of composite material and are mounted to either a steel or titanium pedal axle and bearing unit by using a threaded aluminum bearing cap. Pedals that have a gold dot on the underside of the pedal body just inside where the bearing cap is mounted to the pedal body are not included in this recall. October 17, 2006- Light & Motion Recalls Bicycle Light Batteries for Fire and Burn Hazards
The recalled batteries are found in Light & Motion 2004 ARC Li-Ion HID lighting systems. The lights are black with "ARC" and "LIGHT & MOTION" written in yellow letters. The recall includes only batteries with a manufacturer date code of 1003 or 1103. The date code is stamped on the bottom of the battery and "LIGHT & MOTION" is printed on the side of the battery. September 28, 2006- Cervelo Cycles Inc. Announces Recall of Bicycles Due to Fall Hazard
This recall only involves the 2005 model year R2.5 model bicycles and bicycle frames with serial numbers higher than R251700. The model numbers and serial numbers are printed on the bicycle frame tubes. The frames have clear coating over a carbon fiber with either red and white "Cervélo" decals on the down tube, seat tube and head tube, or blue and white decals in the same locations. July 12, 2006- M2Racer LLC Recalls Bicycle Headsets for Fall Hazard
The headset is the component on a bicycle which provides a interface that can rotate between the bicycle fork and the bicycle frame itself. The Conventional Headset is constructed of an anodized black alloy housing, stainless steel, and polymers. The Integrated Lite Headset is constructed of a black polymer housing and light weight alloys. The Integrated Headset weighs 29 grams; the Conventional Headset weighs 39 grams. July 7, 2006- Felt Bicycles Announce Recall to Repair Mountain Bicycles for Brake Failure
This recall involves all model year 2005 and 2006 Kinesis made RXC bicycles. The frames on these bicycles are made with carbon fiber rear seat stays and are equipped with V-style brakes, and not equipped with disk brakes from the factory. January 19, 2006- Syntace USA Recall of Bicycle Handlebar Stems
The recalled bicycle handlebar stem is black. Stems with production codes 01 03 through 45 04, and stems with no production code are included in this recall. The production code is the bottom set of numbers located on the end of the stem. |
