November 6, 2015 Fireworks Over America Recalls Space Monkey Multi-effect Fireworks Due to Burn, Fire, Impact Hazards

This recall involves all Fireworks Over America Space Monkey multi-effect fireworks sold both individually and by the case. The firework has 20-tubes individually wrapped in red paper. The tubes are bundled together to form a "cake" that measures 7 inches tall by 5 1/2 inches wide by 5 1/2 inches deep. The cake has a black wrapper. The front panel and two side panels of the wrapper have a picture of a chimpanzee wearing a space suit and the words "Space Monkey," "Warning," "Shoots Flaming Balls" and "Carefully read other cautions on the back panel." The back panel of the wrapper has the words "Warning" and "Shoots Flaming Balls" and a list of additional warnings. Recalled fireworks have product code FOA 2936 printed on the back panel in the lower right hand corner. Cases of the recalled fireworks have factory number 36F285-252-14 printed on the front of the case near the product name. Read more.


July 9, 2015 Jake's Fireworks Recalls YoYo Sparklers Due to Burn Hazard

This recall involves Yo Yo Sparklers. The sparklers are 13 1/2 inches long, metallic gray in color on a wire stick. They were sold in multicolored packages containing four individual sparklers. The front of the packages had a logo with the U.S. flag and the words World Class Fireworks at the top, the words YOYO Sparklers and two pictures of sparklers burning at the bottom. Read more.


July 3, 2014 Big Fireworks Recalls Mock Sword Fireworks Devices Due to Impact, Burn Hazards

This recall involves Big Sword fireworks devices. The mock sword is a handheld fountain that is intended to emit sparks from the tip of the sword. The blue and yellow sword has the Big Fireworks logo and the words "Big Sword" printed on the front. A yellow cardboard tag attached to the handle of the device has "Big Sword" and a caution statement printed on it. The sword measures 30 inches and has model number 3609 printed above the product's barcode. Read more.


June 27, 2014 Winco Recalls Contraband 24 Canister Shell Fireworks Kit Due to Impact, Burn Hazards

This recall involves Contraband 24 fireworks kits with canister shells and firing tubes that are designed to be used multiple times. Shells are put into each tube one by one and lit. The shells are about 1 ΒΌ inches in diameter. The tubes in some kits may be too narrow and not allow the shell to drop to the bottom of the tube when loaded. When fired, the shell can blow a hole in the tube. Each kit contains 24 60-gram shells with fuses attached and four fiberglass firing tubes with wooden bases. The kit came in a brown cardboard box about 28 inches tall, 9 inches wide and about 5 inches deep. The front of the box has the words "Contraband 24," "24 Cannister Shells," "Maximum Powder Load" printed in black and red. The front also has a warning stating the product should only be used under close adult supervision and outdoors. Model number JP-933 is printed on the left front of the box above the warning. June 29, 2010 Super Lightning Rocket Fireworks Recalled by Big Fireworks Due to Risk of Burn

This recall involves stick-type rockets with 1 1/2-inch in diameter engine that is mounted on 32-inch wood stick. The engine is wrapped in black paper with a background of solar system and the writing "Super Rocket," in assorted colors. The rockets were sold in packs of four, and have item number GCR3150 printed on the front of the package and on the rocket engine. Read more.


July 3, 2008 Fireworks Over America Recalls Fireworks Due to Shock Hazard

The recalled Oh Chute Parachute with streamers is a firework item with a light blue cylinder with white clouds. The model name is printed in triplicate on the front of the tube and FOA #2085 is on the lower back of the tube. This item is sold separately or in a box of four. Read more.
