February 28, 2017 S.R. Smith Recalls Helix Pool Slides Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves Helix residential pool slides with serial numbers from SR-HX13-01001 to SR-HX13-01488 and SR-HX14-01001 to SR-HX14-01602. "S.R. Smith," "Helix" and the serial number can be found on the product label located on the top right side of the slide near the staircase rail. The recalled slides are 7 feet, 4 inches tall at the highest point and have a helix (corkscrew) shape to its slide or flume. Read more.


March 10, 2016 Anchor Industries Recalls Safety Pool Covers Due to Drowning Risk (Recall Alert)

This recall involves mesh and solid-material Anchor 5-Star, Anchor Mesh, Classic Solid and Defender Mesh brand custom safety pool covers. The covers' cables are connected to the pool wall using brass-plated snap hooks with a gold-tone spring tab, a seam and a hook end with a bezel. The date of manufacture appears on the warning label on the underside of each pool cover. Manufacture dates of "Sep 14," "Oct 14" and "Nov 14" are subject to the recall. "Manufactured by Anchor Industries, Inc." also appears on the label. Read more.


December 17, 2015 S.R. Smith Recalls Pool Lifts Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves Splash! and PAL Hi/Lo and Spa pool access lifts most commonly found in municipal and community swimming facilities and hotels. Splash! lifts are permanently fixed to the pool deck. PAL models are portable, free-standing pool lifts that can be fixed to the deck. The recall includes all models of Splash! lifts with manufacturing dates between January 2013 and September 2015, PAL Hi/Lo lifts with model numbers 250-0000, 250-0005 and 250-0005K and Spa model 275-0000 with manufacturing dates between December 2014 and September 2015. The model number and date of manufacture can be found on the label at the base of the mast. "Splash!" or "PAL" is printed on the base of the lifts. Read more.


October 21, 2015 Liquid Force Recalls Response Kiteboard Control Systems Due to Risk of Injury (Recall Alert)

This recall involves Liquid Force Response kiteboard control systems from model year 2015. The control systems are comprised of a light-weight control bar to control and depower the kite, a set of flying lines and a harness loop (chicken loop)/quick release mechanism. Recalled units have a solid orange release hood and the words "RESPONSE RELEASE SYSTEM" are printed on the black loop. The release hood on replacement systems is orange and black or yellow and black. September 9, 2015 Cabrinha Recalls Kiteboard Control Systems Due to Risk of Injury; Trim Line Can Break

This recall involves three TrimLite Cleat™ trim control systems for Cabrinha kiteboards, including the Overdrive 1X with TrimLite, the standard 1X with TrimLite and the Chaos 1X with TrimLite models. A trim line connects the kite to the handle held by the user, allowing the user to control the kite. Only trim lines with white tape below the loop connecting the trim line to the cleat are part of this recall. The control systems are comprised of a light-weight control bar to control and depower the kite, a set of flying lines and a harness loop/quick release (QR) mechanism. The Overdrive 1X with TrimLite, model number KS6CSODQC, was sold in two sizes 48 cm and 56 cm. The standard 1X with TrimLite control system, model number KS6CSFXQL, was sold in three sizes 42 cm, 52 cm and 60 cm. The Chaos 1X control system, model number KS6CSCHFX, measures 44 cm. June 30, 2015 Technosport Recalls Omersub Scuba Mask Due to Injury Hazard

The diving mask is designed to cover the eyes and nose. The mask and strap are made with soft black rubber, with hard rubber around the two glass lenses. "O.M.E.R." appears on the forehead area of the mask in raised letters. The UPS Code 801 773 612 2298 and Omersub MFG Part #603NCF appear on the original packaging. Read more.


November 12, 2014 Aqua Lung Expands Recall of Buoyancy Compensators Due to Drowning Hazard

This recall involves all Aqua Lung buoyancy compensator vests with SureLock II rubber handles attached to the weight pockets, including those with SureLock II handles that were replaced in the previous recall. The handles are gray rubber, measure about 2 inches tall by 4 inches wide and extend from the forward end of the ditchable weight pockets. SureLock II handles were installed in most Aqua Lung and one model of Apeks buoyancy compensators including: all discontinued Black Diamond, Pro QD and Pro QDi3 models with serial numbers lower than BB408620. The recall also includes all Apeks Black Ice, Axiom, Axiom i3, Balance, Dimension, Libra, Lotus, Pearl, Pearl i3, ProLT and Zuma models with serial numbers lower than BB408620. The buoyancy compensator's model name is embroidered on the inside back pad or on the right lobe. "Sure Lock" is molded into the back of the weight pocket. The serial numbers are located on a tag under the back pad of the buoyance compensator or inside the pocket. Earlier models could have the number printed on a tag behind the hook and loop inflator hold down on the left shoulder. Read more.


September 10, 2014 Coleman Recalls Inflatable Rubber River Tubes Due to Skin Irritation Hazard; Sold Exclusively at Walmart

This recall involves Sevylor brand River Racer inflatable rubber tubes. The recalled tubes are black, 36 inches in diameter and about 15 inches tall. Each tube seats one person. The tubes have the Sevylor logo and name, and the River Racer logo and name printed in blue on the outer side. Model number 2000014090 is located on the inner side of the tube below the bottom left corner of the English language warning. Read more.


September 9, 2014 Cabrinha Recalls Kiteboarding Control System Due to Risk of Injury

The 1X and the Overdrive 1X control systems are both comprised of a light-weight control bar to control and depower the kite, a set of flying lines and a harness loop/quick release (QR) mechanism. Both products have an orange and black EVA grip and a new QuickLoop™ harness loop/QR. The Recoil™ spring mounted along the depower mainline is used to maintain the position of the trim adjusters. The 1X control system (model number KS51XCSFX) is a fixed length and is available in two sizes: 45 cm and 55 cm. The Overdrive 1X (model number KS5CSSDODO) is adjustable between two bar lengths and comes in sizes: 48-56 cm and 57-62 cm. August 27, 2014 NRS Recalls Water Sports Helmets Due to Risk of Head Injury

This recall involves NRS "Chaos Side Cut" helmets used for water sports, including rafting, kayaking, stand-up paddling and canoeing. The helmet's hard shell is available in yellow, red, blue or white. "NRS" is printed on the front and back of the helmet. The recalled helmets have a black "Boa" dial-fit retention harness inside at the back of the helmet. "Boa" is printed on the dial. "Chaos" and PO#39225 are printed on a white sticker inside of the helmet. Helmets with an "Inspected" sticker inside the shell under the Boa dial are not included in this recall. Read more.
