February 7, 2007 LL Bean Recalls Infant Booties Due to Choking Hazard

The booties are sold in infant sizes 1-6. The booties were sold in a tan or pink suede. They have rubber soles and a zipper closure at the ankle. The booties are lined with creme-colored faux shearling acrylic/polyester fleece. "L.L. Bean" is printed in white letters on the soles of the booties. The size and stock #BNK1 are printed on a tag inside the booties. Read more.


January 10, 2007 Children's Hooded Sweatshirts with Drawstrings Recalled by Seena International for Strangulation Hazard

This recall involves children's fleece hooded sweatshirts, sizes 8-12. The sweatshirts were sold in black, brown, blue, red, grey, white and off-white. The words "BKLYN Xpress" and "Brooklyn Xpress" and various graphic designs are embroidered on the sweatshirts. A sewn-in tag has one of the following style numbers: BXFL72B, BXFL73B, BXFL74B, BXFL75B, BXFL77B or BXFL80B. This recall only involves sweatshirts in sizes 8 to 12. Read more.


January 5, 2007 Samara Brothers Recalls Children's Two-Piece Overall Sets, Snaps Contain Lead

This recall involves two styles of children's overall sets. One set is a red plaid denim overall with a white shirt trimmed in red, sold in sizes 12 through 24 months. The other set is a navy blue corduroy overall with a white shirt trimmed in green, sold in sizes 3 through 9 months. Both styles have decorative train appliqués on the front of the overalls. December 14, 2006 Macy’s Recalls Infant Coveralls Due to Choking Hazard

The recalled knit coveralls are off-white with long sleeves. There are pastel stripes on the sleeves and legs, and a floral motif on the right-hand side of the chest. It was sold with a matching striped cap. The coveralls were sold in sizes 0-12 months. Style number 1053EGR410 is printed on the hang tag. Read more.


November 30, 2006 Dollar Days International Recalls Children's Parka Jackets with Drawstrings for Strangulation Hazard

The jackets come in seven color combinations: black with a grey stripe along the sleeves, light blue with a black stripe along the sleeves, grey with a black stripe along the sleeves, navy blue with a gray stripe along the sleeves, yellow with a grey stripe along the sleeves and navy blue with a white stripe across the chest, and black with a white stripe across the chest. The jacket's zipper goes all the way up to create a mock turtleneck. The removable hood attaches with a zipper and has a drawstring. There is elastic at the sleeves, side pockets, and a drawstring at the waist. Read more.


October 31, 2006 Family Dollar Recalls "Creepy Cape" Costumes Due to Flammability Hazard

The recall involves 40-inch black vinyl capes with a stand-up collar. A white sticker on the collar of the cape reads, "FLAME RETARDANT PVC" and "MADE IN CHINA." The packaging shows a green-skinned vampire wearing a black cape. Writing on the packaging includes "CREEPY CAPE," "Ages 6 To 60," and "NO. 53600." Read more.


October 25, 2006 Wal-Mart Recalls Minnie Mouse Cardigan Sets Due to Strangulation Hazard

The pink cardigan is sold as part of a three-piece set which also includes a light pink turtleneck and denim pants. The cardigan has a pink ribbon woven around the neckline. Minnie Mouse is embroidered on the lower left front of the cardigan. The cardigan was sold in sizes 12M, 18M, 24M, 3T, 4T, and 5T. Read more.


September 20, 2006 Gildan Activewear Recalls Youth Hooded Sweatshirts with Drawstrings for Strangulation Hazard

The fleece sweatshirts were sold in youth sizes Extra Small to Extra Large, and have a "Gildan Activewear" neck label. The sweatshirts were manufactured in 12 different colors. These sweatshirts are often used by local print shops to add logos and sportswear decals. Read more.


September 20, 2006 The Cayre Group Recalls Hooded Sweatshirts with Drawstrings Sold at Kohl's for Strangulation Hazard

The recalled hoodie style zip front hooded sweatshirts were sold in four youth sizes S (7-8), M (9-12), L (14) and XL (16.) The sweatshirts have drawstrings through the hood and were available in two colors, Blue Bell and Demitasse. A tag sewn on the inside of the garment reads, "Candie's." Read more.


September 19, 2006 Children's Bathrobes Sold at Ross Stores Recalled Due to Burn Hazard

The recalled bathrobes are made of 100 percent cotton terrycloth. The bathrobes were sold in several color combinations including: white with pink pockets and a green collar; dark blue with yellow pockets and an orange collar; and light pink with a hood with pig ears, eyes, and nose. The recalled robes were infant and toddler sizes. A label on the inside of the garment reads, "Que Cute." Read more.
