This recall involves STIHL MS 461 gas-powered chain saws, and the MS 461 R chain saw with a wrap handle. The model number is on the model plate, located on the starter cover. The chain saws are gray and orange with "STIHL" on the engine cover. Recalled chain saws have a serial number between 173092800 and 181993952, under the front hand guard on the engine housing's sprocket side. Read more.

This expanded recall involves Packaged Terminal Air Conditioners (PTAC) and Packaged Terminal Heat Pumps (PTHP) sold under the Bryant, Carrier and Fast brand names. Recalled units include those with original power cords and those that received a replacement power cord as part of the 2007 recall. The recalled units have capacities of 7,000; 9,000; 12,000 and 15,000 BTUs and plug into 208/230-volt, 20-amp outlets. The following brands and models are being recalled: • Carrier models 52CE, 52CQ, 52PE, 52PQ, 52PC, 52ME, 53MQ; • Bryant models 840, 841, and 842; and • Fast models 840, 841, and 842. Model and serial numbers are located on the ratings/data plate on the right front of the unit, underneath the removable front panel. This recall involves Fiskars Titanium Bypass Lopper shears with model number 6954. The lopper shears have 32-inch dark orange steel handles and black rubber grips with a gray strip. Plastic gears connected to the pruning blades allow the consumers to open and close the pruning blades by moving the handles. "FISKARS" is printed on one handle and product identification information, including model number 6954, is printed on a label on the opposite handle above the barcode. Read more.

This recall involved Mahindra eMax compact diesel tractors designed for residential use. They are red with a black seat. The model number and "Mahindra" are in white lettering on the each side of the hood. Serial numbers for the recalled models are located on the right side of the frame above the front axle. This recall involves STIHL edgers with model number FC 56 C, trimmer/brushcutters with model numbers FS 40 C, FS 50 C, FS 56 C and FS 56 RC, pole pruners with model number HT 56 C and KombiMotors with model number KM 56 RC. The model number is located on the starter cover at the rear of the engine. The engine size is about 28 cc. The products are gray and orange with "STIHL" on the engine cover. The serial number range for all of the recalled units is 501830112 through 504083576. The serial number is located on the label on the bottom of the engine. Read more.

This recall involves Ariens®, Husqvarna®, Jonsered® and Poulan Pro® brand rear tine tillers used for plowing, cultivation and ridging gardens and lawns. The tillers have an engine to power the wheels and the rear tines, an operator handle with forward and reverse transmission and tilling widths ranging from 17 to 19 inches. The brand name is printed on the side of the tiller. They were sold in red, orange and yellow/black colors. The following model and serial numbers are included in the recall. This recall involves Mountain Safety Research Operator™ T, Operator™ D, and Responder™ avalanche rescue snow shovels. Lock buttons on the lower shaft connect the metal shovel blade to the metal shaft. Recalled shovels have a slit on either side of the lower lock button. The shovels measure about 32 to 34 inches long. The blades are red or yellow in color and the handles are gray. "Mountain Safety Research" is printed on the shaft of the handle. "MSR" is printed on the front of the shovel blade. Read more.

The recalled Japanese Axe M has item number R-061 printed on the back page of the included manual. The black axe head measures 5-3/4 inches high by 4 inches wide and weighs 2 pounds. The axe handle measures 14 inches long and is made of light-colored maple. A small black snow flake (asterisk) is burnt into the handle near the hole at the end of the handle. The handle has a small hole near the end, which is used for hanging the axe. The axe was sold with a white leather holder for the axe head that attaches with a snap strap. Read more.

The trimmers are used in residential and professional applications for cutting grass and light brush. The cutting attachments include a trimmer head and metal blade. The trimmers are about 72 inches long and up to 28 inches wide. They are red and gray with either a bike or loop handle configuration. Three models are recalled in two engine sizes measured in cubic centimeters. They are 36cc models 8371 S and 8371 T, and a 40.2cc model 8421 T engine displacement.
