December 20, 2011 The Pampered Chef Recalls Ice Cream Dippers Due to Impact Injury Hazard

The dippers are metallic gray aluminum with a plastic dome-shaped cap on the base of the handle. “Pampered Chef” is imprinted in the cap. The ice cream dippers measure around seven inches in length. A non-toxic liquid is sealed inside the handle of the product which conducts the heat of your hand to more easily scoop hard ice cream. Read more.


December 15, 2011 Toasters Recalled by Hamilton Beach Due to Fire Hazard

The Hamilton Beach recall involves model 22602 toasters. The model number is printed on the bottom of the toaster. The toaster has a chromed steel exterior, a front control panel with a rotary toast shade selector and function buttons arranged in an arc, a front removable crumb tray and “Hamilton Beach” printed below the control panel. November 16, 2011 Liebherr Expands Recall of Refrigerators Due to Injury Hazard; Door Can Detach

This recall involves Liebherr freestanding 30-inch wide, bottom freezer refrigerators with model and index numbers listed below. The refrigerators were sold individually or as side-by-side companion units. The refrigerators come in a stainless steel finish. "Liebherr" is on the upper center of the refrigerator door and the top interior control panel. The model number can be found on a label located behind the bottom drawer on the left interior side of the single door refrigerator. Read more.


November 10, 2011 W.P. Appliances Recalls Combination Grills/Griddles Due to Overheating and Electrical Shock Hazards; Sold Exclusively at HSN

This recall includes Wolfgang Puck brand combination electric grills/griddles with dual thermostatic controls and model number BRTGG010. The grills measure about 14.5 inches in width, 11 inches in depth and 6.5 inches in height. The model number is located on an ETL/Intertek foil sticker label affixed to the bottom of the unit. The stainless steel grills/griddles have "Wolfgang Puck Bistro Collection" stamped on the front of the unit next to the control dials. November 3, 2011 Libbey Glass Recalls Glass Bowls Due to Laceration Hazard

This recall includes the Fantasy glass bowls sold with a lop-sided shape with one side taller than the other. The bowls are made of clear, colorless glass and were sold in only one size as 8.5 ounces. The bowls measure about 5 3/8 inches in height on the tallest side and about 2 1/4 inches across the base. October 25, 2011 General Electric Recalls Gas Rangetop with Grill Due to an Explosion Hazard

The Grill units operate on liquefied petroleum ("LP" or propane) or natural gas. The Rangetop units are either 36 or 48 inches wide with a stainless steel finish and the GE Monogram® badge located on the front center of the unit. The burner control knobs are located on the front panel that overhangs the cabinet. The model and serial numbers can be found on a label located behind the far left burner knob, or on the bottom of the unit. Read more.

This recall affects all Chefmate® 6-Speed Blenders, model BL-10. The model number is located on the bottom of the base. The blender consists of a six-inch tall, white electrical base with five, white speed-selector buttons labeled 1 through 5, one gray button labeled “Pulse/Off” and the word “Chefmate®” in black letters on the front; a clear plastic pitcher with a handle with U.S. and metric volume measurement markings; a white plastic lid with a removable clear plastic lid stopper; and a white plastic blade assembly with two angled, stainless steel blades. These series codes begin with the letters C or D, and have the format of CXXXXBI or DXXXXBI, where XXXX is a four-digit number ranging from 0190 through 5290. The model number and series code are printed on the bottom of the toaster. The toaster has a chromed steel exterior, a front control panel with a rotary toast shade selector and function buttons arranged in an arc, a front removable crumb tray and Hamilton Beach printed across the front of the toaster. June 14, 2011 Calphalon Recalls to Repair Contemporary Cutlery Knife Block Sets Due to Laceration Hazard

This recall involves all 17- and 21-piece Contemporary Cutlery Knife Sets with model numbers KNS17C and KNS21C. The knife sets were manufactured from August of 2007 through May 1, 2011. The recalled cutlery sets do not have model or date code markings on the wooden block although all sets have the "Calphalon" logo stamped in black on the front. Knife block sets with a three digit number imprinted on the underside are not included in this recall. Read more.
