November 1, 2012 Bose Recalls Dual-Voltage CineMate II Home Theater Speaker Systems Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves dual-voltage CineMate Series II and CineMate GS Series II digital home theater speaker systems designed to operate with U.S. 120-volt electrical outlets and European outlets of 220 volts or higher. Each speaker system includes two speakers, one bass module, a remote control device, an interface module and accessories. The components are black. Dual-voltage systems included in the recall have a product code of 051365, 051470 or 057971, which are the first six digits of the serial number on the product label located on the back of the bass module. September 7, 2010 Subwoofer Speakers Recalled by Paradigm Electronics Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves subwoofer speakers sold as part of the Paradigm Cinema 70 CT 120 volt and Paradigm Cinema 70 CT 230 volt system. The speakers have a black finish and serial numbers beginning with 111028 and higher. The serial number is located on the amp panel on the back of the subwoofer. The speaker system includes two front speakers, two rear speakers, a center channel and subwoofer. Subwoofers with an amperage rating of 1.25A L 250 volt are not included in this recall. May 26, 2006 Yamaha In-Ceiling and In-Wall Speakers Recalled After Reports of Units Falling

The recalled models are the In-Ceiling Speaker, NS-IW360C, which is round; and the In-Wall Speaker, NS-IW660, which is rectangular. Both models have a white rim and grill, and black interior. January 26, 2005 Polk Audio Recall of LSiW Powered Subwoofers

This recall includes Polk Audio model LSiW subwoofers with part numbers AM8080-A (Ebony enclosure) and AM8083-A (Cherry enclosure). Affected subwoofers have a serial number from AM808000100 to AM808000597 for the Ebony enclosure and AM808300100 to AM808300599 for the Cherry enclosure. The serial number can be found on the bottom, back edge of the subwoofer. The subwoofer measures 16 ¾-inches high by 16 7/8-inches wide by 19 3/8-inches deep, and weighs about 81 pounds. Read more.
