The recall involves “Pirates of the Caribbean” medallion squeeze lights, which is gold-colored and about 1¾-inches across. It is attached to a leather strap and metal clasp. Read more.


September 26, 2007 RC2 Recalls Knights of the Sword Toys Due to Violation of Lead Paint Standard

The three recalled silver knight toys are mounted on red horses sold individually in see-through blister cards. “Britains” and “Knights of the Sword” are printed on the top of the card in the packaging. The recalled toys include a mounted silver knight on a red horse with an axe; a mounted silver knight on a red horse with two hands on a raised weapon; and a mounted silver knight on a red horse with a lance. September 4, 2007 Fisher-Price Recalls Bongo Band Toys Due to Violation of Lead Paint Standard

The recalled toys have two bongos, including one with a yellow and green plastic drum base with a blue drum surface. The other bongo is yellow and green plastic drum base with an orange drum surface with “It’s a Big, Big World” printed on it. The toys were sold with animal shaped accessories including a monkey, bird, tambourine and drum stick. The toys have product number K9343 inside the orange drum. A date code between 139-7SH and 232-7SH is printed on the drum’s orange ring surface. Bongo Band toys included in this recall must have both the product number and date code. Read more.


August 22, 2007 Thomas and Friends, Curious George and Other Spinning Tops and Tin Pails Recalled By Schylling Associates Due To Violation of Lead Paint Standard

The recalled tops and pails are primarily metal and have wooden handles. The tops are painted with Thomas and Friends, Curious George, or a circus scene. The pails are painted with Thomas and Friends, Curious George, or in a solid red or yellow color. Tops with plastic handles are not included in this recall. Read more.


August 2, 2007 Fisher-Price Recalls Licensed Character Toys Due To Lead Poisoning Hazard

The recalled involves various figures and toys that were manufactured between April 19, 2007 and July 6, 2007 and were sold alone or as part of sets. The model names and product numbers for the recalled toys, which are all marked with "Fisher-Price," are listed below. The toys may have a date code between 109-7LF and 187-7LF marked on the product or packaging. Read more.


July 19, 2007 New Easy-Bake Oven Recall Following Partial Finger Amputation; Consumers Urged to Return Toy Ovens

The Easy-Bake Oven is a purple and pink plastic oven that resembles a kitchen range with four burners on top and a front-loading oven. "Easy Bake" is printed on the front of the oven. Model number 65805 and "Hasbro" are stamped into the plastic on the back of the oven. This recall includes all units with the retrofit kit. The Easy-Bake Oven is an electric toy and is not recommended for children under eight years of age. Ovens sold before May 2006 are not included in this recall. Read more.


June 28, 2007 Target Recalls Toy Barbeque Grills Due to Laceration Hazard

This recall involves the Play Wonder Barbeque Grill. The grill is metal and has an orange metal base and top, along with stainless steel legs and a removable circular ash tray. The grill set also includes tongs and a spatula. The "Play Wonder" logo is located on the lower right corner of the packaging. Read more.


June 7, 2007 Gemmy Industries Corp. Recalls Flashing Eyeball Toys Due to Chemical Hazard

The product is a plastic flashing eyeball toy filled with liquid. The model numbers of this product are: 27828, 27544 and 06470. The model number is found on the back of the packaging. The writing on the packaging reads, "FLASHING EVIL EYE," and "TRY ME!" Read more.


May 3, 2007 Small World Toys Recalls Children's Take-Apart Townhouse Toys; Detached Magnets Pose Aspiration and Intestinal Hazards

These wooden toys, for children ages "18+ months," are shaped like houses measuring 8.5 inches high by about 4.5 inches wide. They have nine pieces that children can disassemble and reassemble. Each house has a green chimney and a blue and yellow striped pillar with a purple base at each corner. The sides of the house have four removable panels of different shapes with red knobs that children use to pull the panels off. "IQ Preschool™" appears on the side of the house below the blue and green rectangular panel. Model number 2408808 appears on the packaging. Read more.
