Recalls: Toy Miscellaneous
The recalled Laugh & Learn Musical Learning Chair is a plastic infant toy that measures about 17 inches high. It plays music and teaches children numbers and letters. It also features a blue chair with four green plastic legs and a side table with a purple base and white top. The table holds a clock, book, and a lamp. Smiley faces are displayed on the lamp and seat back. "Fisher-Price" is written on the front of the chair. The packaging states that the toy is intended for children 12 months through 36 months of age. The model numbers are H4609, H7167 through H7173, H8157, H8998, and J0272 through J0275 can be found on the underside of the seat of the chair. Read more.
The recalled Mystery Drawer is a black plastic rectangular box with a movable drawer. The Dice Tunnel is a blue or red plastic rectangular box with one die. They were sold along with other party favors in an assortment known as the Magic Favor Box (Item #E4696). The plastic shield is silver and gold and is about 11-inches long. The shield was sold as part of the following costume sets: Sword and Shield Set (Item #7014), Sword and Shield Set – 8 (Item #8006), and the Cape, Helmet, Sword, and Shield Set (Item #E8520). The recalled learning cube is an 8-inch square wooden box with a different activity on each side, including an abacus, blocks with apples and bananas, shapes that can be moved in a zigzag cutout, and a blackboard. The wooden cover has spiral bead maze with wooden beads that slide up, down and around. Read more.
The recalled fairy wands are pink or purple with multi-colored beads, feathers and ribbons. The wands are 7-inches long. There are four wands in each package. The packaging has a light pink cardboard backer. Model number WAND1361 is written on the back of the packaging. Read more.
The recalled fishing poles are brightly colored and feature pictures of the following cartoon characters on the reels: from Nickelodeon's SpongeBob Squarepants® are SpongeBob, Patrick Star and Sandy Cheeks; Nick Jr.'s Dora the Explorer®; Disney's Tigger; and the cast of Nickelodeon's Rocket Power®. "ZEBCO®" and "Floating Catch ‘Em Kit™" are written on the handles of these poles with the exception of the Rocket Power poles. The Rocket Power poles have a two-piece rod, were sold with sunglasses and "Rocket Power" is written on the rod. Newer fishing poles with a date code on the rod (near the handle) are not included in the recall. Flying Saucer battery-powered toys with model numbers 83153 and 3321 consist of a 9-inch diameter foam saucer with a rechargeable motor at its hub with a plastic propeller under the motor. The Flying Saucer is a foam ring with seven ribs or blades between the hub and the outer ring. The propeller rotates inside the circumference of the foam ring. The toy comes with a plastic hand-held "thrust transmitter" that is used to activate and control the speed of the saucer. Each toy also comes with an AC adapter for recharging the saucer's batteries. No other models are affected. Distributed through: School fund-raising programs nationwide from August 2004 through September 2004. None of the recalled units were sold at retail. Manufactured In: China and Hong Kong Remedy: Schools and fundraising officials have received notification of this recall. Consumers can return the product for a replacement prize of equal value.
