Recalls: Hunting Accessories
This recall involves Talon Raptor brackets/straps and Cabelas Realtree series hang-on tree stands with the Talon brackets/straps. A safety label sewn onto the bracket reads “Treestand Strap Assembly.” Tree stands involved in this recall have the following model numbers: rsEagle 82044, rsOsprey 82041, rsFalcon 82042, rsHawk 82043 and Cabelas Realtree Outfitters Series Hawk Deluxe 81509. The recalled crossbow is black fiberglass and metal and has a 120 lb draw. “Cross Bow” and “Eagle 5” are printed on the crossbow. Read more.
Product is a plastic tree step that attaches to a tree via a nylon strap and a large metal buckle. It is used to climb a tree in order to hunt from an elevated position. Models 105 and 155 both have a 12/08 date code, which is stamped on the plastic portion of the step. Read more.
This safety harness, used as a fall restraint for hunting, is comprised of two leg straps and two shoulder straps, which connect to a waist belt and padded back support. There is a long, black tether strap at the top rear of the safety harness, which has grey and red accents. The name EXO-Tech is located on the right front shoulder strap and the name Gorilla is located on the left front should strap both in white lettering. Similar to a shirt tag, there is a white manufacturing label on the inside of the back of the harness with the model number 45111 and manufacturing dates, 4/22/2009 or 6/26/2009. Gander Mountain is recalling the 2008 model GMT101 and 2008 model GMT103 Hang-On Fixed Position Treestands. The recalled treestands have wire mesh on the base of the platform to the top of the footrest and a Gander Mountain logo on the front of the seat. In addition, the seat has a camouflage pattern that is branded “AP” and “REALTREE”. Model GMT101 has “Steel Hang-On With Foot Rest” printed in large bold print on the exterior of the box and the GMT103 has “Large Steel Hang-On With Foot Rest” printed on the exterior of the box. This recall does not affect the 2009 year models GMT101 and GMT103 Hang-On Fixed Position Treestands manufactured by Rivers Edge. Read more.
This recall involves the “The General” compound bows hunting and target models with draw weights of 60 and 70 pounds that do not have a collet (see illustration below) in the limb. The bows measure about 31 inches long and have draw lengths of 26-30 inches. Hunting models were sold in camouflage patterns; target models were sold in gray, black, and wood-grain. The bows have laminated wood grips engraved with the word “BowTech” and a label with “The General” on the center pivot point of the bottom limb. Read more.
This recall involves the Pullover Style Full Body Safety Harnesses model SP40300 that were included as an accessory with Gorilla 2007 ladder stands. The harnesses bear batch code numbers 020507, 030507 and 040507. The model and batch code number is printed on the label affixed to the harness. Read more.
The recall involves locking pins, which secure the cables that connect the treestand to a tree. The pins were sold with the 2006 Ol' Man Treestands, including the MV-MO (Multi-Vision), GMV-MO (Grand Multi-Vision), OMDX-MO (Original XX), GOMDX-MO (Grand XX), AMVP-MO (Multi Vision Pro), AGMVP-MO (Grand Multi-Vision Pro), AOMP-MO (Ol' Man Pro), and AGOMP-MO (Grand Ol' Man Pro). The recalled treestands are stamped on the underside of the teeth plates with "TSR 06" and one of the following date codes: 6018, 6019, 6020, 6021, 6022, 6027, 6028, 6029, 6030, 6032, 6033, 6034, 6035, 6036, 6037, or 6041. The recall also includes the 2006 Ol' Man Replacement Pin Sets, model PL. No other models or parts are included in this recall. Read more.
The recall involves all 2004 and 2005 model year Fall Arrest Systems (FAS), or harnesses with "Model Year 2004" or "Model Year 2005" printed on a white Hunter's View label attached to the harness or the tree strap.
