September 9, 2015 Panasonic Recalls Metal Cutter Saws Due to Laceration Hazard

This recall involves the EY3530NQMKW 15.6V Cordless Metal Cutter Kit and the EYC136NQK 15.6V Cordless Metal Cutter Combo Kit. The model EY3530 metal cutter saw is a circular metal cutting saw in black with yellow accents. "Panasonic" is printed in white letters on the upper wrap around blade guard. "15.6 V" and "Metal Cutter Saw" are printed in black letters with yellow highlights on the blade guard. The recalled metal cutters are about 13 inches long and 6.7 pounds. The model EY136 combo kit includes the EY3530 circular metal cutting saw and also includes a drill and other accessories. The model number and date code are located on the bottom of the lower support, between the battery and the blade. The first number in the date code is the year, the second and the third are the month and the last four digits are the production number. October 30, 2008 Homelite Consumer Products Announce Recall to Repair Chain Saws Due to Chain Brake Failure

This recall involves Homelite brand chain saws with the following model numbers: UT10514, UT10516, UT10517, UT10518, UT10520, UT10540, UT10560 and UT10918. Affected chain saws have manufacture date between November 2007 and August 2008. Both the model number and the date of manufacture appear on the chain saw’s data plate, located beneath the rear handle of the saw. Products with a green “dot” sticker under the bottom side of the handle area and on the outside of the package are not subject to this recall. Read more.


November 28, 2006 MTD Southwest Inc. Recalls Troy-Bilt, Craftsman Chain Saws, Breaking Handles Pose Laceration Hazard

These Troy-Bilt and Craftsman brand chain saws are powered by a two-cycle gasoline engine ranging in size from 46cc to 55cc. They are equipped with either an 18-inch or 20-inch bar. There are four Troy-Bilt models affected: 41AY00AR966, 41AY60AR766, 41AY90AR766 and 41AY08AR966. There is one Craftsman "Incredi-Pull" model affected: a 55cc two-cycle gasoline engine with an 18-inch bar and model number 316.350840. April 13, 2006 Toe-Kick Saws Recalled Due to Broken Handles

The saws are used for the removal of floors or cutting flooring in the toe kick area under cabinets. Only Model 795 which has a blue handle and motor housing is included in this recall. "Model 795" and "Crain Toe-Kick Saw" are printed on a label on the blue motor housing. Read more.

May 18, 2005 Robert Bosch Tool Corp. Recall of Circular Saws

The recall circular saws include the BOSCH CS10, CS20 and CS20-XC models, which can be identified on the product nameplate mounted on the top of the motor housing. The recalled models do not have an asterisk (*) in the serial number box. The circular saw uses a 7¼-inch blade and has a blue handle and motor enclosure, and a metal guarding system.
