May 5, 2009 Ambler Mountain Works Recalls Children's Knitted Hats Due to Choking Hazard

The Erwin Beanie is primarily green and white yarn knitted to configure a frog with white eyeballs and a red smile. The Poseidon Beanie comes in several colors of yarn and has hand sewn turtles, whales and octopus attached to the beanie. The beanies have the firm’s logos “Ambler” or “A” printed on a fabric tag. December 4, 2008 Meijer Inc. Recalls Toddler Girl's Hat and Mitten Sets Due to Choking Hazard

The recalled hats and mittens have two magnets sewn into each side of the hat and are cotton with pink, lavender, orange and aqua green stripes and various prints. Some of the hat and mittens have dark pink hearts with light pink stripes. “Aquarius LTD” is printed on the tag of the hat and mitten sets. Read more.


August 29, 2007 Paramount Apparel International Recalls Youth Hats Due to Strangulation Hazard; Product Sold Exclusively at Bass Pro Shops

The hat is a nylon bucket-shaped hat with mesh sides. There are nylon fabric strips on the side of the hat that snap up. The front of the hat has a zipper pocket with a silver boat-anchor appliqué with embroidered text below. The hat adjusts with a bungee drawstring sewn in the crown of the hat. June 17, 2004 GapKids Recall of Girls' Straw Cowboy Hats

The girls' straw cowboy hats were sold in two colors, pink and natural straw, with a flower embroidered on one side and a butterfly embroidered on the other. Style number 239040 is printed on a white label sewn into the brim of the hat, under the garment-care tag. The hats were sold in sizes small/medium (s/m) and large/extra-large (lg/xl). Read more.
