October 10, 2017 Outlet Converters Recalled by Ningbo Litesun Electric with Home Depot Due to Shock and Fire Hazards

This recall involves commercial electric 15-amp triplex outlet converters, also known as taps, with model number LA-05 and UPC 818897010121. The white plastic converters convert a single electrical outlet into three outlets with an outlet plug on the left, front and right side of the tap. The outlet taps measure 1.7 inches tall by 1.3 inches wide by 1.69 inches deep. On the front facing outlet, neutral and line (power socket) sizes are reversed. The model number is printed on the mold on the side that the prongs are located and the UPC number is printed on a sticker on the top of the converter along with the UL listing. Read more.


November 22, 2011 Motion Sensing Wall Switches Recalled by HeathCo due to Electrical Shock Hazard

This recall involves Heath®/Zenith and WirelessCommand® motion sensing wall switches with model numbers listed below. The product replaces a standard household wall switch and is designed to turn off the attached lighting load when motion is no longer detected in the room. The products come in white or ivory. This recall involves the RadioShack Illuminated Round Rocker Switch, catalog number 275-0021 and a date code of 01P09, or January 2009, and earlier. The switches are used as replacement on/off switches for electronics or for use in hobby projects. The wiring diagram, the catalog number, and manufacturing dates are located on the back of the product’s packaging. In the date code MMPYY, MM is the month and YY is the year. Read more.


April 18, 2007 Lamson & Sessions Recalls Floor Electrical Outlets Due to Shock or Electrocution Hazards

The drop-in floor boxes are used to provide an extra electrical outlet in the floor. They were sold under the Carlon® brand name and have a brass finish cover approximately 3 1/2 inches in diameter. "Carlon" is stamped into the plastic above the receptacle and the model number is located to the left of the receptacle. Model numbers E971FBDI and E971FBDIB are included in this recall. Read more.
