June 19, 2007 Cummins Power Generation Inc. Recalls Stationary Natural Gas and Propane Fueled Generators Due to Fire Hazard

The recall involves both commercial and residential model Cummins Power Generation gaseous-fueled stationary generator sets (fueled by propane or natural gas). They have the following model numbers listed on the generator nameplate which is located at the front base of the unit: commercial models GGDB, GGMA/B/C, and GNAA/B/C, and residential models RS15000, RS20000, and RS30000. These units also have serial number A050734102 through L068998479 and "Cummins Power Generation" listed on the generator nameplate. Read more.


January 4, 2007 DEWALT Recalls Portable Generators Due to Electric Shock Hazard

The recall involves DEWALT DG2900 2900 watt gasoline-powered generators with date codes 200150 through 200635. The generators are black and yellow. "DEWALT" and "DG2900" are printed on the generator. The date code is stamped on the right side of the unit on the black plastic covering the rear of the control panel. Units with an "R" stamped on the name plate are not affected by this recall. April 4, 2006 Tecumseh Engines Used on Various Power Equipment Recalled Due to Fire Hazard

The recall includes power equipment with Tecumseh engines listed below. The engine model number and date of manufacture (DOM) information is located on a label on the side of the housing. The recalled engines have a date of manufacture code (DOM) that starts with 05241 to 05286. The label on the engine reads, "Tecumseh Power Company," and in addition to the Model and DOM information, lists the Spec number needed for identification. Read more.


March 22, 2006 Valsi Corporation Recall of Generators with Plastic Fuel Tanks For Fire Hazard

The Valsi "G" model G38MG0750RV, G42MG0750RV, G55MG0900RV, and G65MG1100RV are portable generators with black plastic fuel tank, full lifting frame, and side control panel. The recalled generators are black with blue label and have "Valsi Generator" printed on the label. Read more.


January 11, 2006 Generac Power Systems Inc. Recall of Fuel Hoses Sold with Guardian Home Generators

The recalled 12 inch braided flex fuel hoses are used with Guardian® Home Standby Air-Cooled Generators with serial numbers 3789827 and below. The generators are about 4 feet by 2 feet by 2½ feet, tan in color, and have identification decal tags displaying the serial number. The decal tag is affixed to the black divider plate that separates the engine from the control panel and can be found by lifting the top/lid of the metal enclosure. The fuel hose came supplied with the generator kits and connects the fuel supply to the generator. The hose is 12 inches long and covered with braided steel. Read more.
