July 9, 2015 Jake's Fireworks Recalls YoYo Sparklers Due to Burn Hazard

This recall involves Yo Yo Sparklers. The sparklers are 13 1/2 inches long, metallic gray in color on a wire stick. They were sold in multicolored packages containing four individual sparklers. The front of the packages had a logo with the U.S. flag and the words World Class Fireworks at the top, the words YOYO Sparklers and two pictures of sparklers burning at the bottom. Read more.


November 20, 2014 Leatherman Recalls Children's Multi-Tool Due to Laceration Hazard

This recall involves the Leatherman Leap multi-purpose tool that was designed for users age nine and up. The multi-tool has a green, blue or red plastic casing with two screws, one on each handle of the tool. It consists of combination needlenose and regular pliers, wire cutters, wood saw, ruler, tweezers, soda bottle opener, optional 420HC (high carbon stainless steel) knife blade, scissors, phillips screwdriver, and small and medium slotted screwdrivers. September 30, 2014 Franklin Fueling Systems Recalls Hardwall Fuel Curb Hose Due to Fire and Explosion Hazard

The FLEX-INGâ„¢ FLEX-ON hardwall curb hose is 1 inch in diameter ranging in lengths from 9 inches to 100 feet, including various made-to-order lengths, with fixed and swivel fittings. The product is used in conjunction with the gas station nozzle to dispense or transfer refined fuels such as gasoline, diesel, ethanol blends and biodiesel blends (up to E15). The recalled hoses come in black, green, blue, yellow or red. A date code of M1014 through M3014 in WWYY format, is on the fitting with model numbers starting with FLHFR3XX XXX or FLXHW3XX XXX. On the products with a fixed fitting, the model number is on a label on the crimp ferrule. On products with a swivel fitting, the model number can be found on the label of the box in which it was shipped. "FLEX-INGâ„¢ FLEX-ON" or "FLEXSTEEL FUTURA" are printed on the hoses. Read more.


July 3, 2014 Big Fireworks Recalls Mock Sword Fireworks Devices Due to Impact, Burn Hazards

This recall involves Big Sword fireworks devices. The mock sword is a handheld fountain that is intended to emit sparks from the tip of the sword. The blue and yellow sword has the Big Fireworks logo and the words "Big Sword" printed on the front. A yellow cardboard tag attached to the handle of the device has "Big Sword" and a caution statement printed on it. The sword measures 30 inches and has model number 3609 printed above the product's barcode. Read more.


June 27, 2014 Winco Recalls Contraband 24 Canister Shell Fireworks Kit Due to Impact, Burn Hazards

This recall involves Contraband 24 fireworks kits with canister shells and firing tubes that are designed to be used multiple times. Shells are put into each tube one by one and lit. The shells are about 1 ¼ inches in diameter. The tubes in some kits may be too narrow and not allow the shell to drop to the bottom of the tube when loaded. When fired, the shell can blow a hole in the tube. Each kit contains 24 60-gram shells with fuses attached and four fiberglass firing tubes with wooden bases. The kit came in a brown cardboard box about 28 inches tall, 9 inches wide and about 5 inches deep. The front of the box has the words "Contraband 24," "24 Cannister Shells," "Maximum Powder Load" printed in black and red. The front also has a warning stating the product should only be used under close adult supervision and outdoors. Model number JP-933 is printed on the left front of the box above the warning. The back of the box has color photos and descriptions the effect each shell should create. Read more.


May 1, 2014 Altria Group Distribution Company Recalls Flashlight Due to Burn, Injury Hazards; Distributed Exclusively through Marlboro Promotion (Recall Alert)

The recalled product is a bronze-colored 3-in-1 flashlight that was distributed as a promotional item for Marlboro brand cigarettes. The flashlight is 4.5 inches long and 1 inch in diameter and has five LED lights. It has a compartment for storing matches and an end cap that has compass in the top. The cap with the compass has a striker pad on the inside. It came with 20 wooden matches and a removable foam insert between the matches and the striker pad. Read more.


August 8, 2013 Big Lots Recalls Tabletop Torches Due to Fire and Burn Hazards

This recall involves large and small round tabletop torches that have a wick and burn liquid citronella fuel. The large torches have a steel fuel container covered in multi-colored glass in a mosaic pattern. The large torch measures about 10 inches in diameter, 5 inches high, and weighs about 2 ½ pounds. The small torches have multi-colored glass fuel container with a metal and wire stand. They measure about 5 inches in diameter, 5½ inches high and weigh about one pound. "Table Top Torch distributed by Big Lots, Inc." and item #DC12-21111 (large torch) or Item #DC10-20160 (small torch) is printed on a yellow label on the bottom of the large torch and on a hang tag on the small torch. April 9, 2013 Manchester Tank & Equipment Company Recalls Propane Cylinders Due to Fire Hazard

The recalled Manchester Tank & Equipment Company cylinders included in the recall were manufactured January through September 2012. The date of manufacture is printed on the collar by month and year, so "6 * 12" represents June 2012. The name Manchester and the water capacity "WC238#" are also pressed into the collar. These gray 100-pound DOT propane cylinders measure about 41" high and about 15" in diameter. Manchester 100-pound propane cylinders with a green dot on the hand-wheel on the top of the cylinder are not included in the recall.
