Recalls: Track and Field and Exercise

This recall involves all Matrix Fitness Ascent Trainers® and Elliptical trainers installed from November 2011 through December 2012. All Ascent Trainers and Ellipticals have a swing-arm handle design, with pedals that rotate in an elliptical path. Units also have stationary handlebars. The Ascent Trainers® are similar to the Elliptical machines, but include an incline function. Users operate the machines in a standing position. The Ellipticals are black and silver-colored. The Ascent Trainers are also black and silver-colored with an orange accent color on the machine's body and foot pedals. "Matrix" is printed on the machines body and handlebars. When assembled, the machines are about 70" high x 29" wide and 68" long. The machines involved in this recall have a decal at the center/bottom of the units with model numbers beginning with A3x, A5x, A7x, E3x, E5x or E7x. Read more.

The ElliptiGO 3C, 8C and 11R models are outdoor elliptical cycles used by adults for exercise. It is a scooter-like device that combines an elliptical trainer with a bicycle. The ElliptiGO cycles have an aluminum frame, drive arms, two 20" spoked-wheels, an internally geared hub, front and rear brakes and adjustable-height steering column. All cycles have the word "ElliptiGO" along the outside of the frame. The 3C and 8C model cycles have a "C-Series" decal towards the rear of the frame and aluminum drive arms. The recalled 11R cycles are matte black with white markings and the "11R" decal is found towards the rear of the frame. The serial numbers on all models are located on the frame in front of the back wheel near where the kickstand attaches to the frame. Serial number ranges for the recalled 3C and 8C models are from 11-010-001 through 13-028-102, and for the 11R model from 12-003-069 through 12-020-035. Read more.

The Perfect Bands are rubber tubes connected through a hole and secured by grommets to cloth sewn into loops. The bands can be used alone or in conjunction with optional handles, which are sold separately. The bands are approximately 40 inches long and are used for exercises described on the product packaging card and in a Workout Chart available on line on the product website. The recalled workbenches are free-standing and typically used for free weight workouts. They have black, square tube, steel bases with a jet black, vinyl, adjustable bench seat and backrest. “Powertec” is embossed on the backrest pad and printed on a sticker located on the upright or the base frame of the workbench. This recall involves Cybex model 16110 plate-loaded leg presses used in commercial gyms. The leg presses have a metal frame, an adjustable backrest and can be ordered in a variety of colors. The name "Cybex" is located on the outer left side of the upper frame. The Serial Number label can be found on the lower main frame near the floor and ranges from D072216110 through G091416110. This recall involves Sportspower Parkside model TR-14FT-COM trampolines. The trampolines are 14 feet in diameter and were sold with an enclosure net. The trampolines have blue or light blue fabric on the safety matting and enclosure pole sleeves. The model number is marked on the packaging and instruction manual. “Parkside” is printed on the enclosure net. Read more.

This recall involves older model "Professional" (P1) and "Tactical" (T1) TRX Suspension Trainer devices manufactured between January 2006 and July 2007. The recalled products' anchor straps are yellow or khaki nylon with a carabiner at the top end and a black nylon loop on the bottom end. A black and yellow or black and khaki nylon strap is threaded through the black nylon loop on the anchor strap to form a "Y." On each side of the "Y," the strap has a cam buckle, which is used to adjust the length of the straps. Each end of the "Y" strap has a foam-covered hand grip and a foot cradle. The recalled devices have hand grips with no end bumpers, which are black plastic caps covering the ends and preventing the plastic under the foam from being exposed. They do not have an extra nylon loop, called a locking loop, attached at the point where the anchor strap and the "Y" straps are joined and designed to limit the slippage of the straps. The recalled products also have badges on the straps with the TRX logo and the word "Professional" (for P1 devices) or "Tactical" (for T1 devices) on them. This recall involves Atomic Aquatics brand Cobalt dive computers. These handheld, console-style dive computers have LCD screens and four magnetic control buttons located below the screen. A fitting at the bottom of the computer connects to the high pressure hose of a scuba diving regulator. The name Atomic Aquatics logo is imprinted on the front of the console, below the screen. The recalled products can be identified by the manufacture dates, which are determined by the first four numbers of the serial number with the first 2 digits signifying the week of manufacture (01 through 52) and the second 2 digits signifying the year of manufacture (10, 11 or 12). The dates of manufacture are between May 31, 2010 and April 16, 2012. Serial numbers, 2210-XXXX through 1612-XXXX, can be found by scrolling to the "System Info" screen on the computer. Read more.

The product is a small, toddler-sized trampoline with a yellow and blue colored handlebar over the top of the trampoline for toddlers to hold on to while jumping. The trampoline has a blue mat and orange pads with different colored circles printed onto the pads, yellow legs and blue feet. A white label is sewn into the underside of the orange pads which has “786X Little Jumpers Trampoline” printed above the bar code. This recall involves trampolines with the codes 21011-P0003070, 21011-P0003246, 25511-P0003071, 27811-P0003372, 29811-P0003373 and 34211-P0003375. This code is printed underneath the barcode. The recall involves the Sportspower BouncePro 14’ Trampolines with brown mesh netting. UPC codes 68706404210, and 68706404244 are printed on the trampoline box. “Sportspower BouncePro 14” and “TR-14-63-A” are printed on a plate on the leg of the trampoline frame. The trampolines are surrounded by brown netting measuring about 6 feet high on the perimeter of the trampoline. The netting is designed to contain individuals bouncing on the trampoline. Read more.
