The recalled toy speed boats are lightweight plastic toy boats supported by an inflatable hull with “outboard” motors on them. The motor uses two AA batteries. The toy boat measures about 12 inches long by 8 inches wide and comes in various colors and designs. Read more.

November 6, 2007 Swimways Corp. Recalls "Skippy" Pool Toys Due to Laceration Hazard

This recall involves a rubber pool toy shaped like a fish. The fish are blue, purple or green colored and measure 8 ½ inches long by 5 inches wide. A loop of elastic tubing shaped like a tongue comes out of the mouth of the fish and is used for launching the fish across the water like a slingshot. “WARNING. Do not aim at another person. Made in China” is printed on the bottom of the fish. Read more.


October 25, 2007 Fisher Price Recalls Go Diego Go Boat Toys Due to Violation of Lead Paint Standard

The toy is an orange and yellow boat that squirts water. Cartoon character Diego is in the driver’s seat. “Fisher Price,” product number K3413, and a date code between 137-7HF and 223-7HF are marked on the toys. Read more.


September 27, 2006 Suave Kids Bath Sets Sold at Wal-Mart Recalled for Choking, Other Hazards

This recall involves "Suave" brand bath sets that contain a 2-in-1 shampoo, bath sponge, and various other toy animal and character bath products. The baths sets are packaged in brightly colored vinyl bags with a clear window. Style numbers involved in this recall are: SVK 9498, 9499, 9501, 9506, 9507 and 9508. The style numbers are located on the back and/or bottom right corner of the package, above the UPC code. Read more.


August 30, 2006 Pool Toys Recalled by Wild Planet Toys Due to Risk of Impalement Injury to Children

The Jet Streamers™ Outdoor Antics! Pump-Action Water Blasters are straight squirt guns for the pool. The Jet Streamers measure 9-inches long with a bulbous water reservoir at one end and a rigid tapering handle containing a small water intake hole at the other end. The tapering handle is gray while the bulbous water reservoir varies in colors of white/green, blue/yellow and orange/silver. Tiny raised lettering on the Jet Streamers' handles state, "©2002 Wild Planet Toys, San Francisco, CA, USA, Made in China." The toys were sold as a 2-pack set, in packages with other pool toys, such as dive balls and magnet dive gloves, and with boys' swim trunks. The product packaging is labeled "Jet Streamers," "Wild Planet" and is for children ages five and older. Read more.
