February 7, 2007 Conair Recalls Curling Irons for Shock and Electrocution Hazards

This recall involves ceramic, gold-matte finish curling irons. The irons have a 1, 1¼, or 1½-inch barrel, metal counter rest, vertically placed ON-OFF buttons, and a heat set dial that ranges from 0 to 30. A four-digit date code can be found on the plug prong. Date codes included in this recall range from November 2005 through July 2006 (ex. 0706). The name "Conair" is printed on the handle of the iron. Read more.


January 24, 2007 Hair Dryers Recalled by Version-X Due to Electrocution Hazard

The recalled hair dryers are made of plastic and are red, blue or green. The hair dryer's handle folds up. The words "Travel'N Baby" are printed on one side of the hair dryer. Read more.


July 19, 2006 Hair Dryers Recalled for Electrocution Hazard

The recall involves two models of pistol-type hair dryers: The Monica hair dryer has its model name and number, SW-117, written on the handle. It is made of black plastic and chrome, and the handle folds up. The Turbo 1200 model has model number DS-507 written on the back of the handle. The model name is written on the blower nozzle. April 19, 2006 Hair Dryers Recalled Due to Electrocution Hazard

The hair dryers recalled are the Eusonic models numbers 9318, 9329, and 2218. The model numbers are imprinted on the opposite side of the handle from where the slide switch is situated. The hair dryers are red, have a black slide switch and the word Eusonic is imprinted in black on the blower part of the hair dryer. Read more.


June 2, 2005 Generic Value Products Recall of GVP Hair Straightening Irons

This hair straightening iron has a black housing with golden-colored ceramic heating plates. "Generic Value Products™" is written on the top of the iron and "GVP™" is written in a white circle on the side of the iron. The iron was packaged in a black and white box with the letters GVP™ in large type in the upper left hand front corner. The SKU is 264800, which is written on the packaging. Read more.
