August 1, 2009 Sauder Woodworking Company Recalls Gruga Office Chairs Due to Fall Hazard

The recalled chairs are entertainment, executive, manager's and task chairs with the brand name "GRUGA - Seating from Sauder." The chairs are sold in a variety of fabrics and colors. The model number and Universal Product Code (UPC) are on a tag attached to the bottom of the seat. A blue date code is stamped on the legal disclaimer label on the underside of the chair seat. July 16, 2009 Butterfly Chairs Recalled by Hobby Lobby Stores Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves brown leather butterfly chairs with copper tubing legs. The leather seat has stitching similar to baseball stitching. Item# MI-1007 and PO#9073513 are printed on the front of the hang tag. Read more.


April 9, 2009 Ross Stores Recalls Folding Patio Chairs Due to Fall Hazard

The folding wooden patio chairs are made of eucalyptus. SKU 400037791757 and manufacturer style number KTOT-1638-ROS are printed on a hangtag attached to the chair. Read more.


March 18, 2009 Human Touch Recalls Perfect Chair to Fix Screw Drive Due to Entanglement Hazard

This recall involves chair model numbers PC-095, PC-3, PC-7, and PC-9 that have an “open screw” drive or a “dual cover” screw drive and that were sold prior to September 2007. Screws that are fully covered (the “quad cover”) are not subject to this recall. See Attachment A. Read more.


January 27, 2009 Lane Home Furnishings Recalls Glider Recliners Due to Fall Hazard

The recall involves Lane’s Glider Recliners, model numbers 2056 and 2085. Affected recliners have a manufacture date between June 2008 and October 2008. The model number, manufacture date and 9-digit serial number can be located beneath the footrest of the recliner. Read more.


January 13, 2009 Cheyenne Industries Recalls Vanity Stools Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves the Milan Vanity Stool Model GBS57A. The stools are rectangular benches sitting about 18 inches off the ground, with fabric-covered seat cushions and metal frames. UPC Code 0-50276-85472-2 is printed on the identification tag on the underside of the seat cushion. Only stools using four screws to hold the stool legs to a foot ring are impacted by this recall. December 23, 2008 Teknion Recalls to Repair Office Chairs Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves all Contessa chairs shipped prior to June 30, 2008. Each Contessa chair has a label indicating the date of shipment (see photo “B” – Shipping Label) which is located on the bottom of the chair seat. Read more.


October 7, 2008 Game Chairs Recalled by Brunswick Bowling & Billiards Corp. Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves the “Colonial” model, folding wooden chairs for use with game tables. They were sold in sets of two. The chairs have a black seat cushion and either a cherry or chestnut finish. Read more.


September 24, 2008 Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores Recall SmartSpace Chairs Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves the SmartSpace™ Papasan chair. The silver metal frame chair has a circular fabric seat that sits on a 10-inch-tall base. The fabric seat used with the papasan chairs were sold in purple, pacific, lime yellow and gray. A hangtag on the chair reads “Smartspace Papasan Chair – 1 piece.” Read more.


July 24, 2008 Cost Plus Recalls Santorini Chairs Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves Santorini outdoor stacking chairs. The black metal chairs have vertical bars on the back and horizontal bars across the base. Read more.
