May 2, 2017 HoMedics Recalls Massagers Due to Electric Shock and Burn Hazards

This recall involves three models of handheld massagers, HHP-375H, HHP-250 and the PA-MH-THP. All models of the massagers have a 120 VAC, 60 HZ power cord. "HoMedics" is printed on the massagers. The HHP-375H model Handheld Dual Node Percussion Massager with Heat is white with a gray handle or black with a gray handle. The massager has three sets of interchangeable nodes. The HHP-250 model Handheld Hot and Cold Massager is white with a gray stripe or gray with a blue stripe. The massager has three, five or eight interchangeable nodes. The PA-MH-THP model Handheld Compact Percussion Massager with Heat is white on the bottom of the base with gray on top. The massager has two sets of interchangeable nodes. All manufacturing dates for all three models are included in the recall and the item date code can be found in either one of the cord prongs or in the rating label located on the underside of the product. Date codes can be identified as a 4-digit number WWYY where WW is the sequential week of the year and YY is the last two digits of the manufacturing year. Read more.


May 13, 2014 Misty Mate Recalls Hand-Held Personal Misters Due to Risk of Laceration; Sold Exclusively at Hibbet Sports

This recall involves Misty Mate 2.5-ounce high pressure personal misters. The air misters are approximately 8 inches tall and are designed to spray a mist of water for personal cooling. They have a clear plastic cylinder to hold water, blue base and top and a nylon carrying strap attached to the top. The cylinder measures between 1.25 and 1.5 inches in diameter. A horizontal line with the word "fill" is printed on the cylinder. Read more.


January 16, 2013 Target Recalls Hand-Held Air Misters Due to Injury Hazard

The recall is for hand-held devices designed to spray a mist for personal cooling. The Air Misters are 8 inches tall and hold 2 ounces of water at the "Fill" line. They are clear plastic cylinders with colored tops and bases. The tops and bases come in black, blue, green and pink. A nylon carrying strap is attached to the tops. Instructions for use are written in white lettering on the outside of the clear plastic cylinder.

December 13, 2011 Handheld Massagers Recalled by Fourstar Group Due to Burn Hazard from Leaking Batteries

This recall involves ladybug and bee-shaped "Massage Pet" handheld massagers. The ladybugs are red and black and the bees are yellow and black. The massagers measure 3 1/2 inches tall and 5 inches wide and were sold with two Kendal brand AA batteries. "Massage Pets" and "Dating code 1210A" are printed on the massager's hangtag along with UPC 0 49696 60453 6 for the ladybug and UPC 0 49696 60454 3 for the bee. Read more.



June 12, 2008 Sauna By Airwall Recalls Infra-Red Sauna Rooms Due to Fire Hazard

The recalled infra-red sauna rooms are made of wood and include the following model numbers: IC I, IC II, IC III, IC IV, and IC V. The model number is indicated on the serial plate located on the back of the machine, in the lower right hand corner. Read more.


April 3, 2007 Mastex Recalls Foot Warmer Due to Burn Hazard

The recall includes model 400 twin foot warmers with date code FO4. The date code is located on the switch and the model number is written on the blanket. Model 405 full size foot warmers are not included in the recall. Read more.


April 4, 2006 Brookstone Foldable Massaging Bed Rest Recalled for Fire, Burn Hazards

The recalled bed rest is designed to support a person sitting in bed. It is beige and consists of a back, two foldable armrests with a cup holder and massage controls, and a headrest with a reading light attached. "Imported by Brookstone Company" is printed on a tag attached to the bed rest. The massaging bed rest also provides heat at a single setting. A curly beige cord is attached to the back lower left corner of the bed rest. On some of the bed rests, "SKU NO: 431254" is printed on a round metal plate where the curly beige cord plugs into the bed rest. "Brookstone" is printed on the beige plug-in transformer that attaches to the beige cord. Read more.


February 28, 2006 Unilever Recalls Dove Facial Cleansing Massager after Nine Reports of Minor Injuries

The recall involves a white hand-held Facial Cleansing Massager wand that is intended for use with Dove Cleansing Pillows. When turned on, the unit vibrates.
