December 16, 2005 Dell Recall of Notebook Computer Batteries

The recalled batteries were sold with the following Dell notebook computers: Latitude™ D410, D505, D510, D600, D610, D800, D810; Inspiron™ 510M, 600M, 6000, 8600, 9200, 9300, XPS Gen 2; and Dell Precision™ M20 and M70 mobile workstations. The batteries were also sold separately, including as secondary batteries and in response to service calls. The batteries insert into the battery bay located on the underside of the notebook. "Dell" and "Made in Japan" or "Made in China" are stamped on the batteries. The identification number for each battery appears on a white sticker. Customers should have this number available when they contact Dell to determine if their battery is part of the recall. Read more.


December 5, 2005 Toshiba America Consumer Products LLC Recall of DVD Home Theater Systems

This recall involves the Toshiba 5-Disk DVD Home Theater System, model number SD-C67HT. The model number can be found on the front of the DVD Player/Receiver to the right of the word "Toshiba." The DVD Home Theater System consists of six speakers, including a subwoofer and a DVD Player/Receiver. Read more.


November 28, 2005 Sanus Systems Recall of Television Wall Mounting Units

This is a swing arm wall mount for flat panel televisions. The TV wall mount being recalled is the VisionMount model VMSA. The TV wall mount measures 18.5 inches high and 29 inches wide and is sold in black and silver. There is no writing on the unit. Read more.


November 8, 2005 Nikon Inc. Recall to Replace Rechargeable Battery Packs Sold with Digital SLR Cameras

The recall involves the Nikon rechargeable lithium ion battery pack with model number EN-EL3, which is written on the side of the battery. The batteries are rated at 7.4V/1400mAh, which also is written on the battery. The battery is included as a power source for Nikon's digital SLR D100, D70, and D50 model cameras. October 20, 2005 Dana Innovations Recall of Amplified Volume Controls

Sold under the brand names Architectural Audio and HomeTech, these in-wall volume controls were professionally installed as part of whole house audio systems. The recalled lithium ion rechargeable battery packs are used with various HP and Compaq notebook computers (see list below). The recalled battery packs are a subset of those manufactured March 2004 through September 2004, and will have a bar code label starting with GC, IA, L0 or L1. Read more.

The recall involves Li-Polymer battery packs sold with Belkin Bluetooth™ GPS Navigation System models F8T051 and F8T051-DL. The GPS model number can be found on a label on the bottom of the unit. "Part No.: 300-203712001" and Model No.: AE-8210" are written on the side of the battery. Read more.


June 8, 2005 Mintek Digital Inc. Recall of Portable DVD Player Batteries

The recall involves battery packs used with the Mintek portable DVD players with a 7" (diagonal) screen and model number DVD-1710. "Mintek DVD-1710" is printed on the top and bottom of the unit. The DVD player is silver and grey colored and the battery pack is silver with a nameplate on the bottom that is marked RB-LiP01 or RB-LiP02. Read more.
