May 8, 2025 Yamaha Corporation of America Recalls Power Adaptors for Digital Pianos and Music Workstations Due to Burn and Fire Hazards

This recall involves Yamaha-brand AC adaptors with model number PA-300C that were sold with Yamaha-brand arranger workstations, digital pianos, and music control panels, as well as Steinberg-brand audio interfaces. The AC power adaptors are black and have the model name, the model number, the efficiency level, and the serial number printed on the AC adaptor rating label. The recalled adaptors were manufactured from July 2010 through May 2012. The fifth character in the serial number corresponds to the year the product was manufactured, while the sixth character corresponds to the month that the product was manufactured. For example, XXXX24XXXXX corresponds to April 2012. The power adaptors were sold separately as a service part and also built into certain Yamaha-brand Clavinova digital pianos. June 26, 2014 Roland Recalls Digital Pianos Due to Electrical Shock Hazard (Recall Alert)

This recall involves Roland model RD-800 Electronic Digital Pianos. The recalled product is an electronic piano keyboard that is 55 inches wide, 14.5 inches deep and 5.5 inches high. It is black and has 88 black and white keys. The front of the piano has a control panel with a color liquid crystal display (LCD) in the center. Pianos within the following serial number ranges are being recalled: Z6D0015 to Z6D0019 Z7D0174 to Z7D0423 Z8D1 056 to Z8D1255 Z9D2131 to Z9D2333 The model number is on the front left of the piano. "Roland" and the model number are in large type on the back of the piano. The serial number and model number are on a data plate on the right side of the rear of the piano between the XLR output connectors and the AC IN connector. Read more.

March 17, 2007 Casio® Inc. Announces Recall of Electronic Keyboards Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves model CTK-710 of the Casio® 61-key full-size electronic musical keyboards. The size of the keyboard is 37-11/16-inches by 14-1/16-inches by 5-1/4 inches. Products with serial numbers ranging from 7030001 through 7040400 and 7041901 through 7043500 are included in this recall. The brand and model information are found on the front of the unit above the keyboard and the serial number is found inside the battery compartment located on the underside of the unit. Read more.

April 11, 2006 Yamaha Corp. of America Recalls Bench Sold with Digital Piano Due to Collapse Hazard

The YDP213 Digital Piano is black with a black and white keyboard and brown trim. The bench is black with a cushioned seat. White stick-on labels on the underside of the bench give the assembly instructions and references several requirements. All labels have Yamaha written on them. The serial number and "Made in China" is stamped on the underside of the seat. The YDP213 Digital Piano and BC-104DR(U) Keyboard Bench are sold together with the bench boxed within the piano box. The model number of the bench appears only on the box within the piano box and not on the bench itself. Read more.
