February 12, 2009 Disney Store Recalls Toy Tool Sets Due to Choking Hazard

The recalled Playhouse Disney “Handy Manny” Tool Set is a plastic, eight-piece toy set that includes a tool box, hammer, saw, pliers, wrench, tape measure and two screwdrivers. February 5, 2009 The Land of Nod Recalls to Repair Cottage Bunk Beds Due to Fall Hazard

The Cottage Bunk Beds can be configured as bunk beds or as twin beds. The assembled bunk bed dimensions are 81.5 inches (length) by 43.5 inches (width) by 74.5 inches (height). The beds were sold in both white (model #s 236-519 and 188-174) and pine/honey finishes (model #s 459-410 and 172-596) and included a long and a short upper bunk guardrail, each of which should be secured to the inside of the upper bunk bed’s side rail with screws. Stickers bearing the model numbers are located on the inside of the lower bunk headboard. Read more.

February 4, 2009 Dorel Juvenile Group Recalls Safety 1st Stair Gates Due to Fall Hazard

The recall involves the Safety 1st SmartLight Stair Gate with model number 42111, which is printed on a sticker under the handle panel. The gates, which were manufactured before December 31, 2007, are white metal with a gray handle and a motion sensor nightlight that illuminates on approach. The manufacture date is located below the gate’s handle as a date wheel imprinted in the plastic; an arrow indicates the month, and the year is stamped inside the circle. The manufacture date is also printed on a sticker inside the battery door. Read more.

This recall involves the Harajuku Lovers Hooded Jackets with the RSL Hoodie & Lovers Leopard styles. The RSL Hoodie style has numerous pictures of girls riding motor scooters and the words “ready steady love” printed on it. The Lovers Leopard style has a leopard design in grey and black.“Harajuku Lovers” is printed on a tag sawn next to the care label. Read more.

January 28, 2009 The Land of Nod Recalls Children's Canopies Due to Entrapment and Strangulation Hazards

The recalled canopies involve the “Home Sweet Playhome” model made of 100% cotton gingham fabric draped from a bamboo hoop which is suspended from the ceiling to create a cylindrical play space measuring 36 inches wide and 9 feet tall. The canopies have an open bottom, a “door” and three multi-paned “windows.” They were sold in blue and pink. “Home Sweet Playhome” canopies sold after October 2005 are not included in this recall. “The Land of Nod” is printed on a woven label on the canopy.
