January 6, 2011 JB Inc. Recalls Lili Gaufrette Children's Hooded Cardigans with Drawstrings Due to Strangulation Hazard

This recall involves hooded cardigans sold under the "Lili Gaufrette" brand name, model number G617093 and named the LEPARIGO cardigan. The cardigans were sold in pink, brown and black, and in children's sizes 4-14. "LiLi Gaufrette MADE IN FRANCE" is printed on the tag sewn inside the garment, and "LiLi" is printed on the tag sewn onto the left front pocket. Read more.

December 22, 2010 Ceramic Banks Recalled by Oriental Trading Company Due to Violation of Lead Paint Standard

The recalled piggy bank is shaped like a pig and the body of the piggy bank is painted yellow with floral designs. The ceramic lion bank is shaped like a lion and is painted yellow with a brown mane. The banks measure about 4 inches in length, 2.5 inches in width, and 3.5 inches in height. Only yellow banks with black plastic stoppers in the bottoms of the banks are being recalled. Banks with white or translucent stoppers are not being recalled. Read more.


December 16, 2010 Girls' Hooded Zip Jacket and Vest Sets with Drawstrings Recalled By Splendid Due to Strangulation Hazard

This recall involves girl’s hooded zip jackets with style # SJ6J7831 and long sleeve t-shirt with hooded vest sets with style # SJYK7935. The zip jackets were sold in camouflage, jasmine, parfait and royal. The vest sets were sold in black, caviar, denim, electric pink, macadamia, peacock, quartz and sapphire. The style number can be found on the care label located at the inside left side seam. “Splendid” can be found on the neck label. Read more.

This recall involves toddler girl pants, jeans and shorts sold in various styles. The style number is printed on a sewn-in label located under the care/content label on the inside of the waistband. December 2, 2010 The First Years® Recalls American Red Cross® Cabinet Swing Locks; Latches Can Fail to Prevent Access by Children

This recall involves The First Years American Red Cross cabinet swing locks with item number Y7181. The latches are mounted on cabinets or drawers to help prevent young children from gaining access and were sold two per blister card. An America Red Cross logo and "cabinet swing lock" is printed on the package. "American Red Cross" is molded onto the front of the lock. A date code is printed on the bottom of the back of the package and on the back side of each latch just above the connection point. Read more.


December 1, 2010 Lowe's Stores Recall to Repair Roman Shades and Roll-Up Blinds; Two Near Strangulations Involved Young Children

November 22, 2010 Bassettbaby Recalls to Repair Drop-Side Cribs Due to Entrapment, Suffocation and Fall Hazards

The recalled cribs are wood with a metal mattress support and have a drop side with external plastic hardware. The cribs were sold in a variety of finishes. A label is attached to the footboard or headboard with the names "Bassettbaby" or "Bassett Furniture Industries, Inc." as well as the model number, production date and other information. November 19, 2010 Children's Hooded Jackets and Sweatshirts with Drawstrings Recalled By VOS Sports Due To Strangulation Hazard

This recall involves all children’s hooded sweatshirts and nylon hooded jackets with drawstring sold under the brand name “VOS Sports.” The sweatshirt and jackets were sold in assorted sizes including S-M or L and in up to 14 colors. “VOS Sports” and “RN#94353” are printed on the sewn-in label. November 4, 2010 Infant Car Seats Recalled by Britax Due to Laceration and Choking Hazards

The recall includes Chaperone infant car seats with model numbers E9L69N9 (Moonstone), E9L69P2 (Red Mill), E9L69P3 (Savannah) and E9L69P5 (Cowmooflage) sold in the U.S. All recalled models were manufactured between April 2009 and May 2010. The white serial label with the seat’s serial number, model number, and manufacture date can be found on the underside of the car seat. Read more.
