July 15, 2015 Avon Recalls Nut Chopper Due to Risk of Injury

This recall involves a nut chopper sold by Avon. The recalled nut chopper is 7 1/2 inches tall and has clear plastic upper and lower chambers connected by an orange plastic grinding mechanism. The grinding mechanism has metal tines and a metal crank arm with an orange plastic grip handle. The lower chamber has a removable orange base and markings that show it holds about 1 1/4 cup of materials. The upper chamber has orange plastic lid. The product identification number found on the outside of the Nut Chopper individual, corrugated box packaging was F3730731 and the brochure number was 978-044. Read more.


July 10, 2014 Master Cutlery Recalls Neck Knives Due to Laceration Hazard; Sold Exclusively at Big 5 Sports

This recall involves the Karambit neck knife and sheath. The half-moon shaped knife measures 7 inches in length and was sold in an urban camo print. "MTech USA" is laser printed on the blade. Model number MT-664UC-SO is marked on the back of the knife. The knife fits into an unmarked molded black sheath that is about 4.5 inches in length. The sheath has a snap clip on the back and also comes with a beaded lanyard chain. Replacement sheaths have "MTech USA" laser printed on the back. Read more.


March 7, 2013 The Pampered Chef Recalls Garlic Slicers Due to Laceration Hazard

This recall involves The Pampered Chef garlic slicers sold individually and with a garlic peeler. The garlic slicers were sold under product numbers 1113 (individual) and 2578 (set). The two-piece white plastic, tube shaped slicer measures 2 ¼ inches by 3 ½ inches and has two blades on the end. "The Pampered Chef" is engraved on the top cover.

February 28, 2012 Greenlee Recalls Utility Knives Due to Laceration Hazard

This recall involves Greenlee Hawk Bill folding pocket utility knives with model numbers 0652-27 and UT652-27. The models are identical. Each has a single curved 2.6-inch stainless steel blade and a 4-inch green and black plastic handle. The Greenlee name and logo are printed on the blade. Model numbers are printed in the upper right corner of the boxes in which the knives are packaged. Read more.


June 14, 2011 Calphalon Recalls to Repair Contemporary Cutlery Knife Block Sets Due to Laceration Hazard

This recall involves all 17- and 21-piece Contemporary Cutlery Knife Sets with model numbers KNS17C and KNS21C. The knife sets were manufactured from August of 2007 through May 1, 2011. The recalled cutlery sets do not have model or date code markings on the wooden block although all sets have the "Calphalon" logo stamped in black on the front. Knife block sets with a three digit number imprinted on the underside are not included in this recall. Read more.
