May 30, 2012 Toys R Us Recalls Imaginarium Activity Center Due to Choking Hazard

This recall involves the Imaginarium 5-Sided Activity Center. The multi-sided center has two triangle-shaped ends with a wooden multi-colored xylophone on one and a mirror on the other. The three sides are square-shaped and include moveable block letters, rotating gears and sliding shapes. The name “Imaginarium” appears in a blue, oval-shaped logo underneath the mirror on one end. The second ‘i’ in the logo is dotted with a shooting star. The recalled product has model number 46284; Toys “R” Us item number 295909; and has the barcode number 000799985462841. The model number is printed on the back of the box, directly above the bar code. These numerical markings do not appear on the actual product. Read more.


March 13, 2012 Guidecraft Recalls Children's Play Theaters Due to Tip-over Hazard

This recall involves all 4-in-1 dramatic play theaters with model number G51062. The model number is printed on a sticker affixed to the bottom of the center crossbar and on the assembly instructions. The toy has two interchangeable panels with different themes on each side: a puppet theater and diner, or a doctor's office and post office. An assembled play theater measures 4-feet high by 3-feet wide and weighs about 46 pounds. Read more.



February 16, 2012 Tumblekins Toys Recalled by International Playthings Due to Choking and Laceration Hazards

This recall involves all Tumblekins toy vehicles and playsets, including the farm playset, fire station, police car, roadster, off-roader, fire truck and school bus. The toys are wooden, painted in bright colors. The toys range from 6 to 12 inches long and 4 to 9 1/2 inches tall. "Tumblekins," "Made in China" and manufacturing code "171111461502" or "346101461502" are printed on the toys. The item number and UPC are printed on the toy's packaging. Read more.


September 28, 2011 Little Tikes Expands Recall of Toy Workshop and Tool Sets Due to Choking Hazard

This recall involves the toy nails sold as part of 11 additional models of Little Tikes® Workshop and tool sets listed below. The toy nails are oversized, plastic, and about 3 1/4 inches long by 1 1/4 inch in diameter. The nails are either red or blue and have a large round head; below the nail head there is a plastic ridge, slightly smaller than the nail head and about 1 inch in diameter. July 7, 2011 Mini Stars Building Sets Recalled by Edushape Due to Choking Hazard

This recall involves Mini Stars building sets. The Mini Stars measure three inches in diameter and are made of opaque plastic. Each star has six circular knobs protruding from a ring-shaped center. Edushape only makes Mini Stars in red, green, yellow or blue colors which are included in this recall. The Mini Stars do not have any markings, codes or logos stamped into the plastic. They were sold in sets of 12, 24, 36, 48 and 72 pieces. Read more.


March 3, 2011 Manhattan Group Recalls Parents Wooden Activity Toys Due to Choking Hazard

The Parents® Busy Time Activity Centers™ is a wooden activity center cube-shaped toy that has a multi-colored bead run on the top. Activities on each side include a 4-tone xylophone and rasp, butterfly and caterpillar spinners, zig-zag drum, castanets, and pockets with "alligator," "bear," and "cat" pillow characters. Only items with wooden pegs bearing date code 400090GC are involved in this recall. The date code can be found on the bottom of the product packaging near the UPC code and on the tags on the bear character. Read more.


January 25, 2011 Family Dollar Stores Recalls Remote Controlled Toy Tanks Due to Burn Hazard

This recalled product is the Authentic Heroes Target Practice Tank play set, a remote-controlled green toy tank attached by a cable to a grey battery-powered controller. The controller requires three AAA batteries to power the tank to move forward and backward and the tank turret to rotate and shoot projectiles. The toy station consists of: a round blue plastic table, including train tracks, train cars in blue, red and yellow, toy sailboats and a hand rake/shovel.
