April 6, 2023 Mammut Sports Group Recalls Alugator Ride 3.0 Hoe and Alugator Ride SE Avalanche Shovels Due to Risk of Injury or Death

This recall involves Alugator Ride 3.0 Hoe and Alugator Ride SE shovels. The recalled shovels are used for digging out avalanche victims. The recalled shovels are made of aluminum, were sold in silver or black finishes and have orange handles. The recalled Alugator Ride 3.0 Hoe avalanche shovels were sold individually with production lot number 1121. The Alugator Ride SE avalanche shovels were sold as part of the Barryvox Package, and Barryvox Package Tour with production lot numbers 1221 and 0322. January 10, 2017 Active Kyds Recalls Children's Toy Shovels and Garden Tool Sets Due to Lead Violations; Sold Exclusively on Amazon.com (Recall Alert)

This recall involves Active Kyds children's toy shovels and garden tool sets. The fiberglass toy shovels were sold in yellow and black. The children's garden tool set has blue handles with orange caps and black painted steel ends. It includes four tools: a hand shovel, hand fork, transplanter and cultivator. The tools are sold with a pull string black mesh bag with the Active Kyds logo printed in white. Read more.


May 12, 2015 Avalanche Rescue Snow Shovels Recalled by Mountain Safety Research Due to Risk of Failure During Emergency Rescues (Recall Alert)

This recall involves Mountain Safety Research Operatorâ„¢ T, Operatorâ„¢ D, and Responderâ„¢ avalanche rescue snow shovels. Lock buttons on the lower shaft connect the metal shovel blade to the metal shaft. Recalled shovels have a slit on either side of the lower lock button. The shovels measure about 32 to 34 inches long. The blades are red or yellow in color and the handles are gray. "Mountain Safety Research" is printed on the shaft of the handle. "MSR" is printed on the front of the shovel blade. Read more.
