September 9, 2010 Black & Decker Recalls Random Orbit Sanders Due to Laceration Hazard

This recall involves Black & Decker random orbit sanders with model numbers RO400, RO400G, RO410, RO410K, RO410LW and FS3000ROS and date codes between 200701 and 200929. The sanders are orange and black. “Black & Decker” is printed on the sanders. The model number is printed on a label on the sander. The date code is stamped on the underside of the sander where the dust bag is inserted. Read more.


August 18, 2010 Brigade Hickory Handle Sledge Hammers Recalled by White Cap Construction Supply Due to Risk of Injury

This recall involves Brigade sledge hammers with a hickory wood handle. There are 11 models included in this recall, ranging in size from 2 to 20 lbs. A green and white label with the word “Brigade” and the model name is affixed to the head of the sledge hammer, and “Genuine Hickory” is printed on the handle. July 13, 2010 Wire Feed Welders Recalled by Star Asia USA Due to Burn Hazard

The recall involves the Vaper 90 amp flux wire feed welders with model number 41181. The wire welders are red and black. March 11, 2010 Noncontact Electrical Tester Recalled by Fluke Due to Shock or Burn Hazard

The Fluke voltage testers look like a pen with a yellow, white and gray body. The testers measure 90 to 1000 volts alternating current (VAC). “Fluke” and the model number are printed on the front of each unit. March 11, 2010 Coil Nailers Recalled by Hitachi Koki Due to Serious Injury Hazard

The coil nailers are used to project nails into drywall, wood or other materials. The model number is NV83A2 and can be found on the body of the product. Only those units manufactured between October 2002 and September 2005 are included in this recall. The manufacturing date can be identified by the serial number engraved at the end of the handle, the first digit representing the month (1 for January, 2 for February, 3 for March, 4 for April, 5 for May, 6 for June, 7 for July, 8 for August, 9 for September, O for October, N for November and D for December) and the second digit representing the year (2 for 2002, 3 for 2003, 4 for 2004 and 5 for 2005). March 9, 2010 Gerber Legendary Blades Recalls Machetes Due to Laceration Hazard

This recall involves the Gerber Gator Machete and Gator Machete Jr. with the original handle (see picture below). The Gator Machete is approximately 25 1/2" long and the Machete Jr. is approximately 18 3/4" long. The blade is marked with the "Gerber" trademark. The Gator Machete and Machete Jr. with a modified handle (an extended hand guard) are not included in this recall (see picture below).
