March 20, 2013 Yuba Bicycles Recalls Mundo Cargo Bikes Due to Injury Hazard

The recalled bicycles are Mundo V4 cargo bikes. The 26-inch bicycles have steel frames, aluminum fenders on the front and rear wheels, and a wood utility deck mounted on the rear cargo rack. The bikes come in orange, black or blue. The word "Mundo" is on the top tube of the bicycle frame and "Yuba" is on the down tube. The serial number range for the recalled bikes is ADA11A008000 to ACA12D018000. The serial number is located on the kickstand plate.

December 18, 2012 Bicycles Recalled by Wilier Triestina Due to Fall Hazard; Bicycle Fork's Steerer Tube Can Break

This recall involves Wilier Triestina model Izoard XP bicycles or framesets that were sold with carbon/alloy forks with serial numbers between LH0001 and LH4000. The serial number is located on the steerer tube of the fork, around six inches from the crown. Bicycles purchased before January 2012 are not included in this recall. Read more.


December 18, 2012 Norco Recalls Havoc Bicycles Due to Risk of Injury

This recall involves 2011 Havoc 24-inch and 26-inch bicycles. The 24-inch bicycles were sold in semi-matte grey and the 26-inch in semi-matte red. On some of the bicycles, "Norco" is printed on the firm's crest that is affixed to the head tube. Bicycle frames included in this recall have serial numbers that begin with K10DQ, K10FQ, K10IQ, K10KQ P10K, P10F or P11B. The serial number is stamped on the underside of the bottom bracket, below the word "Havoc." Read more.


November 14, 2012 Bike Friday Recalls Tikit Folding Bicycles Due to Fall Hazard

November 8, 2012 Diamondback Bicycles Recalled Due to Fall or Crash Hazard

Bicycles included in the recall are the 2013 Diamondback Steilacoom RCX, which are black in color and sold in various sizes ranging from 50-cm to 59-cm. "RCX" is printed on the top tube of the bicycle. The bicycle is for use on or off-road. Read more.


October 25, 2012 FLO Cycling Recalls Rim Tape Due to Fall Hazard

The rim tape is a yellow plastic strip that was provided for free with the purchase of FLO 60, FLO 90 and FLO DISC wheels. The number 700X18 A/V is printed on the tape. October 11, 2012 ElliptiGO Recalls Elliptical Cycles Due to Fall Hazard

The ElliptiGO 11R is an outdoor elliptical cycle used by adults for exercise. It is a scooter-like device that combines an elliptical trainer with a bicycle. The ElliptiGO 11R has an aluminum frame, carbon-fiber drive arms, two 20" spoked-wheels, an 11-speed internally geared hub, front and rear brakes and adjustable height steering column. Only ElliptiGo 11R cycles with serial numbers that range from 12-003-069 through 12-020-035 are included in the recall. The serial number is located underneath the product to the rear of where the kickstand attaches to the frame. The cycles are matte black with white markings and the words ElliptiGO on the frame. September 25, 2012 Specialized Bicycle Components Recalls Bicycles Due to Fall and Injury Hazards

This recall involves some 2008 and 2009 models women's and men's Globe model bicycles. Recalled models include the Globe Elite, Globe Sport, Globe Sport Disc, Globe Centrum Comp, Globe Centrum Elite, Globe City 6, Globe Vienna 3, Globe Vienna 3 Disc, Globe Vienna 4, Globe Vienna Deluxe 3, Globe Vienna Deluxe 4, Globe Vienna Deluxe 5 and Globe Vienna Deluxe 6 bicycles. The bicycles were sold in various colors, including gun, silver, black, khaki, navy, bone, blue, charcoal, burgundy and gold. The brand name "Specialized" is on the lower frame tube and the model name is on various locations on the bicycle frame. Read more.


August 30, 2012 Meijer Stores Recalls Bicycles Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves two-wheeled youth and adult Huffy, Iron Horse, Mongoose, Northwoods, Pacific, Razor, and Schwinn bicycles measuring 20" or more. They were assembled on-site at Meijer stores by Serv-U-Success of Grandville, Mich. The bicycles were sold between March 2012 and August 2012 and have a Serv-U-Success assembly sticker attached. This recall does not include bicycles with Serv-U-Success assembly stickers written in green marker. The Serv-U-Success assembly sticker is located on the bottom of the bicycle frame between the pedals or on the back of the frame facing the rear tire. August 30, 2012 Specialized Bicycle Components Expands Recall of Bike Brake Levers Due to Crash Hazard

This recall includes Tektro TL-83 brake levers sold on 2012 S-Works Shiv bicycle frame modules, 2012 S-Works Shiv TT bicycle frame modules, and sold as aftermarket service parts for these modules. The TL-83 is a version of the TL-720 brake lever, modified with a quick release slot at the top of the lever arm and designed exclusively for use with aerodynamic handlebars (aerobars) sold as original equipment on these modules. They are black aluminum and model number "TL-720" can be read on the side of the lever arm when braking action is applied. Read more.
