March 22, 2012 Lacrosse Helmets Recalled by Easton Sports Due to Facial Injury Hazard

This recall involves all Easton Raptor Lacrosse Helmets. “Easton” is printed on either side of the back of the helmet and on the jaw strap. “RAPTOR” is printed low on the back of the helmet in the center. The helmets were sold in sizes XS/S, M/L, and XL/XXL and were available in the following colors: white; matte black; silver; navy blue and white; royal blue and white; and red and white. Read more.


July 21, 2011 Ski Helmets Recalled by Swix Sport USA due to Head Injury Hazard

Uvex Funride ski helmets come in two adult sizes XS-M, and L-XL. Individual sizing is adjusted by a small dial located at the rear of the helmet. The helmets feature a chin strap, ear protection and the word "Uvex" printed toward the back of the helmet. The interior label on affected helmets bears the code "S-58B" or "S-58C". The helmet comes in the following colors and designs: solids in black, white, silver; carbon look matte in white or black; golden flower decal in white or black. Read more.


May 31, 2011 Bicycle Helmets Recalled by Bell Sports Due to Head Injury Hazard

This recall involves Bell Exodus full-face helmets with a plastic buckle on the chinstrap and model and part numbers listed below. The helmets have an angled visor and were sold in youth size. May 27, 2008 Batting Helmets Recalled by Rawlings Sporting Goods Due to Violation of Lead Paint Standard

This recall involves junior batting helmets with model number CFHLJR. The helmets come in yellow and orange with black accents. The model number can be found on the rear of the helmet. Read more.


November 13, 2007 Nike Recalls Football Helmet Chin Straps Which Can Break and Pose Risk of Serious Injury

The recalled football helmet chin strap consists of a plastic cup with a foam liner, straps and four metal snaps. They were sold in both youth and adult sizes and come in black/gray and white/gray color combinations. The Nike Swoosh trademark is printed on the outside of the chin cup and DRI-FIT™ is printed on the foam liner. “Made in China” and one of the following four style numbers is printed on the inside of the strap: FA0016 046, FA0016 130, FA0021 046, or FA0021 130. May 4, 2006 Trek Recalls Anthem C Elite Bicycle Helmets for Failing Impact Standards

The recalled helmets are identified by the model name Anthem C Elite and Anthem C Elite WSD. A label inside the helmet identifies the helmet as "Trek Anthem C." The helmets are available in men's sizes in black/charcoal, blue/silver and blue/red, and in women's sizes in aqua blue/silver and white/silver. This recall includes all sizes of this helmet. August 31, 2005 Target Recall of Back Trails Jr. Bicycle Helmets

The recall includes Target's "Back Trails Jr." brand toddler, youth and child bicycle helmets sold in various colors. They were manufactured after January 1, 2004. Helmet model numbers: 89888 or 88003 (toddler), 89951 or 88001 (girl's 8-vent youth), 89952 or 88002 (boy's 8-vent youth), or 89917 (14-vent child's) appear on a white label inside the helmets, along with date of manufacture (YYYY/MM/DD) and the words "Made in China." Target product identification numbers: 082-01-0520 (toddler), 082-01-0149 (girl's 8-vent youth), 082-01-0189 (boy's 8-vent youth), and 082-01-0334 (14-vent child's) and the brand name "back trails jr.," appear on the product packaging.
