Recalls: Powered Scooters or Skateboards

This recall involves Transpro brand A3 Hub Motor, A11F Spark, and R1 Commuter electric scooters. The scooters are powered by lithium-ion batteries. They were sold in black or gray colors. The lithium-ion battery is located beneath the scooter deck. Note: Do not throw this recalled lithium-ion battery or device in the trash, the general recycling stream (e.g., street-level or curbside recycling bins), or used battery recycling boxes found at various retail and home improvement stores. Recalled lithium-ion batteries must be disposed of differently than other batteries, because they present a greater risk of fire. Your municipal household hazardous waste (HHW) collection center may accept this recalled lithium-ion battery or device for disposal. Before taking your battery or device to a HHW collection center, contact that office ahead of time and ask whether it accepts recalled lithium-ion batteries. This recall involves FENGQS F7 Pro electric bikes with batteries manufactured on April 21, 2024. The e-bikes were sold in blue. "FENGQS" is printed on the downtube and the model number "F7 Pro" is printed on the chain stay, near the rear wheel. The battery's capacity (21.5Ah) and the production date (2024/4/21) are printed on a label on the front of the battery. Read more.

This recall involves certain serial numbers of Apollo City 2024 model year electric scooters. The dual-motor scooters have top speeds of 32 miles per hour. The scooters have a gray exterior with a headlight and rear brake light. "Apollo" is printed on the stem of the scooter and "Apollo City" is displayed on the rear left side of the grip tape on the deck of the scooter. The affected serial numbers range from 4202240300001 to 4202240301236 and 4202240400001 to 4202240400764. The serial number is located on the bottom of the scooter deck. This recall involves 36-volt lithium-ion rechargeable batteries included with certain "VIVI" brand e-bikes. E-bike model information can be found on a consumer's sales order documentation and on certain bicycle frames. Battery model information is located on the battery itself. "VIVI is printed on the bicycle downtube. This recall involves all Segway Ninebot Max G30P and Max G30LP KickScooters. The Max G30LP KickScooter is gray in color with yellow accents and the Max G30P is black in color with yellow accents. The brand name "ninebot" appears on the foot platform and the top of the handlebars. The model number is located on a label on the side of the foot deck. The Max G30P model is 46 inches long, 19 inches wide, 47 inches high and weighs 42 pounds. The Max G30LP model is 44 inches long, 19 inches wide, 45 inches high and weighs 39 pounds. Read more.

This recall involves SG-5 Swagger 5 Boost Commuter Electric Scooters sold at Walmart and Sam's Club. The electric scooters are powered by lithium-ion batteries. They were sold in black or silver colors. "SWAGGER 5" is printed in large lettering on the stem of the handlebars. The lithium-ion battery is located beneath the scooter deck. The model numbers are SWGR5-V2-SLV, SWGR5-V2-2, SG5 Boost, SG-5S, 96262-2, 96262-9, SG-5S, and 96560-2. The model numbers are affixed to the side of the scooter deck. Note: Recalled lithium-ion batteries should be disposed of in accordance with any local and state ordinances, following the procedures established by your municipal recycling center for damaged/defective/recalled lithium batteries, because these potentially hazardous batteries must be handled differently than other batteries. Do not throw this recalled battery in the trash. Do not deposit this recalled battery in used battery recycling boxes found at various retail and home improvement stores. The manufacturer, Swagtron, of South Bend, Indiana, has not been responsive to CPSC's request for information about this product or to CPSC's request for a recall. However, Walmart as the retailer has agreed to recall electric scooters that were purchased at Walmart or Sam's Club either at its stores or on its websites. Read more.

This recall involves Hover-1 Dynamo e-scooters with certain serial numbers. Only scooters with the letters "WY" as the seventh and eighth letter in the serial number are included in this recall. The serial number can be found on a label located on the underside of the scooter. The two-wheeled recalled scooters are matte black and have a kick stand and reflective lights at the front and back of the stand board. This recall involves certain Hover-1 Helix hoverboards. The recalled hoverboards have serial numbers containing 15914, 19203, or 19988 as the fifth code in the six-code serial number affixed to the bottom of the board. The hoverboards were sold in camouflage and galaxy colors. "Hover-1" is printed on the front of the hoverboard. The model "Hover-1 Helix" and the serial number are printed on separate labels on the bottom of the hoverboard. Read more.

This recall involves the Apollo Phantom V1, V2 and 60V Electric Scooters models. The scooter has one stem bolt that connects the stem of the scooter with the front suspension and wheel assembly. "Apollo" is printed on the stem of the scooter and "Apollo Phantom" is displayed on the rear left side of the grip tape on the deck of the scooter.
