March 25, 2021 Inyo Pool Products Recalls PureLine Pool Pump Motors Due to Fire Hazard; Sold Exclusively on inyopools.com (Recall Alert)

This recall involves two models of 1.5 HP electric motors that drive pool pumps sold under the PureLine brand name with model numbers PL1152 and PL2152. The PL1152 model has a round flange and the PL2152 has a square flange. The model number can be found on the white label on the top of the recalled motors. The motors are black. The PL1152 motors are 11-7/8 inches long and 5-1/2 inches in diameter. The PL2152 motors are 12-1/2 inches long and 6-1/2 inches in diameter. Read more.


June 12, 2019 Hayward Industries Recalls Pool Heater Vent Kits Due to Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Hazard

This recall involves the Hayward UHXNEGVT15001 Negative Pressure 6-inch Vent Kit for pool heaters. The vent kit is used exclusively on the Hayward H500FD Gas Heaters. The kit includes the following: one vent pipe adapter for negative pressure galvanized vent pipe, one flue cover plate with hole for vent, #10 sheet metal screws, vent pressure switches, vent pressure switch tubing and vent pressure switch jumper wire. Only Hayward H500FD Gas Heaters that are installed indoors and use 6-inch negative pressure galvanized vent piping are affected by this recall. The name Hayward is stamped into the furnace housing above the water pipes. The model and serial number H500FD is located to the left of the water pipes. Read more.


February 28, 2017 S.R. Smith Recalls Helix Pool Slides Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves Helix residential pool slides with serial numbers from SR-HX13-01001 to SR-HX13-01488 and SR-HX14-01001 to SR-HX14-01602. "S.R. Smith," "Helix" and the serial number can be found on the product label located on the top right side of the slide near the staircase rail. The recalled slides are 7 feet, 4 inches tall at the highest point and have a helix (corkscrew) shape to its slide or flume. Read more.


March 10, 2016 Anchor Industries Recalls Safety Pool Covers Due to Drowning Risk (Recall Alert)

This recall involves mesh and solid-material Anchor 5-Star, Anchor Mesh, Classic Solid and Defender Mesh brand custom safety pool covers. The covers' cables are connected to the pool wall using brass-plated snap hooks with a gold-tone spring tab, a seam and a hook end with a bezel. The date of manufacture appears on the warning label on the underside of each pool cover. Manufacture dates of "Sep 14," "Oct 14" and "Nov 14" are subject to the recall. "Manufactured by Anchor Industries, Inc." also appears on the label. Read more.


December 17, 2015 S.R. Smith Recalls Pool Lifts Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves Splash! and PAL Hi/Lo and Spa pool access lifts most commonly found in municipal and community swimming facilities and hotels. Splash! lifts are permanently fixed to the pool deck. PAL models are portable, free-standing pool lifts that can be fixed to the deck. The recall includes all models of Splash! lifts with manufacturing dates between January 2013 and September 2015, PAL Hi/Lo lifts with model numbers 250-0000, 250-0005 and 250-0005K and Spa model 275-0000 with manufacturing dates between December 2014 and September 2015. The model number and date of manufacture can be found on the label at the base of the mast. "Splash!" or "PAL" is printed on the base of the lifts. Read more.


May 29, 2014 Trident Recalls Ultraviolet Sanitation Systems for Pools Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves all Trident Series 2 ultraviolet sanitation systems for pools. The sanitation systems are a gray tube that stands 32 inches high by 11 inches in diameter. They are plumbed into the pool's water circulation pipes and plugged in or hard-wired into an electrical system. The pool's water runs through the unit and is sanitized by ultraviolet lamps. This is a secondary sanitation system used in conjunction with chemical sanitizers such as chlorine or bromine. "Trident Ultraviolet Corporation," "Series 2" and "UV Ultraviolet Sanitation System" are printed on a black label on the front of the units. "Trident Series 2 Ultraviolet Water Treatment System" and a series of letters for the date code are printed on a silver sticker on the units. January 22, 2014 Nationwide Industries Recalls Trident Pool Gate Latches Due To Failure to Secure Hazardous Areas

The recalled magnetic gate latches are 10" or 20" models in black or white. They are marked with the "Trident" name and image on the face of the latch body below the key hole. The latch body, which is typically attached to a fence post, contains a knob and a key cylinder on the uppermost portion and a recessed area on the bottom portion designed to engage and retain the striker. The striker, which contains the magnet, is typically attached to the active gate portion of a fence gate assembly, and moves with the gate as it is opened and closed. October 11, 2011 Nidec Motor Corporation Recalls Pool Pump Motors Due to Electrical Shock Hazard

The recalled motors are variable speed swimming pool pump motors with a 6.5 inch diameter steel frame painted black with a square or C-flange mounting. The rating plate is on the side of the pump and "EMERSON. CAT.NO.EVSS3" and " MODEL M63PWBLE-121.H.P. 3.0, S.F.1.15" is printed on the plate. Read more.


July 12, 2011 Diving Unlimited International Recalls Weight Systems Due to Drowning Hazard

The weight harnesses are made of heavyweight nylon and are black in color with gray handles. The DUI logo appears on the pockets. The Weight & Trim System Classic has two small weight pockets on each side. The Weight & Trim System II has one large weight pocket on each side.
