September 30, 2015 Millennium Outdoors Recalls Tree Stands Due to Fall Hazard

The recall includes the 2015 model M-60 Millennium Outdoors fixed position tree stand. These fixed position tree stands are used to hunt from an elevated position. The black metal tree stands include the main stand platform with a nylon hanging strap assembly. It has a green canvas seat with a red "M" and "Millennium Treestand" printed in white letters in the center affixed with black snaps on the sides. The model number is printed on the tree stand packaging. The date code MO5100 is stamped on the top of the back post of the tree stand. The base platform has a black metal mesh frame. Read more.


January 22, 2015 Hunters’ Tree Stands Recalled by Primal Vantage Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves two 2014 models of hang-on tree stands used by hunters. They include the Ameristep Hyde Cliff Hanger with model number 2RX1H008C and date code JH-2014-3-6 and the Ameristep Hyde Sky Walker with model number 2RX1H009C and date code JH-2014-3-6. The date code is stamped on the back of the tree stand's aluminum seat frame. The model number is printed on the packaging and in the instruction manual. "Hyde" is printed in red on the vertical aluminum bar between the seat and the foot platform. Read more.


October 27, 2010 Primal Vantage Expands Recall of Plastic Tree Steps Due to Fall Hazard

Product is a plastic tree step that attaches to a tree via a nylon strap and a large metal buckle. It is used to climb a tree in order to hunt from an elevated position. Model numbers 105 and 155 both have a “08”, which is stamped on the plastic portion of the step denoting the year of manufacture. Read more.


January 28, 2010 Summit Treestands Recalls Hunting Tree Stand Brackets Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves Talon Raptor brackets/straps and Cabelas Realtree series hang-on tree stands with the Talon brackets/straps. A safety label sewn onto the bracket reads “Treestand Strap Assembly.” Tree stands involved in this recall have the following model numbers: rsEagle 82044, rsOsprey 82041, rsFalcon 82042, rsHawk 82043 and Cabelas Realtree Outfitters Series Hawk Deluxe 81509. Model information is printed on the tree stand warning label that is sewn onto the seat. Read more.

November 12, 2009 Treestands Recalled by Gander Mountain Company Due to Fall Hazard

Gander Mountain is recalling the 2008 model GMT101 and 2008 model GMT103 Hang-On Fixed Position Treestands. The recalled treestands have wire mesh on the base of the platform to the top of the footrest and a Gander Mountain logo on the front of the seat. In addition, the seat has a camouflage pattern that is branded “AP” and “REALTREE”. Model GMT101 has “Steel Hang-On With Foot Rest” printed in large bold print on the exterior of the box and the GMT103 has “Large Steel Hang-On With Foot Rest” printed on the exterior of the box. This recall does not affect the 2009 year models GMT101 and GMT103 Hang-On Fixed Position Treestands manufactured by Rivers Edge. Read more.


December 18, 2007 Full Body Safety Harnesses Recalled by Gorilla Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves the Pullover Style Full Body Safety Harnesses model SP40300 that were included as an accessory with Gorilla 2007 ladder stands. The harnesses bear batch code numbers 020507, 030507 and 040507. The model and batch code number is printed on the label affixed to the harness. Read more.


October 18, 2007 Kong Maxx Ladder Stands Sold at Gander Mountain Recalled Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves Gorilla Kong Maxx Ladder Stands with model number 43032 and batch numbers G051507, G051507D, G061507D, G071507D, and G081507D. Model numbers are printed on the box only. Batch numbers are stamped on the vertical rail of the first ladder section. The stand is 19-feet to the shooting rail, or 16-foot 8-inches to the platform. The foot platform measures 17 ½ -inches wide. This is the only Gorilla, Inc. ladder stand with these dimensions. Read more.


July 17, 2007 Ol' Man Treestands Recalled by TSR Inc.; Locking Pins Can Unexpectedly Fall Out, Posing a Fall Hazard

The recall involves locking pins, which secure the cables that connect the treestand to a tree. The pins were sold with the 2006 Ol' Man Treestands, including the MV-MO (Multi-Vision), GMV-MO (Grand Multi-Vision), OMDX-MO (Original XX), GOMDX-MO (Grand XX), AMVP-MO (Multi Vision Pro), AGMVP-MO (Grand Multi-Vision Pro), AOMP-MO (Ol' Man Pro), and AGOMP-MO (Grand Ol' Man Pro). The recalled treestands are stamped on the underside of the teeth plates with "TSR 06" and one of the following date codes: 6018, 6019, 6020, 6021, 6022, 6027, 6028, 6029, 6030, 6032, 6033, 6034, 6035, 6036, 6037, or 6041. The recall also includes the 2006 Ol' Man Replacement Pin Sets, model PL. No other models or parts are included in this recall. Read more.


April 18, 2007 Hunter's View Expands Recall of Safety Harnesses Sold with Tree Stands, Also Recalls Harnesses Provided as Replacements

The recall involves all 2004 and 2005 model year Fall Arrest Systems (FAS), or harnesses with "Model Year 2004" or "Model Year 2005" printed on a white Hunter's View label attached to the harness or the tree strap. The recall includes all model number harnesses sold during these years. The recall also includes replacement harnesses provided to consumers as a result of the previous recall. Read more.
