July 23, 2013 Subaru Portable Gasoline Generators Recalled by Robin America Due to Fire, Burn Hazards

The recalled portable gasoline generators are Subaru models SGX3500, SGX5000 and SGX7500. They have yellow fuel tanks and black frames with collapsible handles. The word "Subaru" is on the fuel tank and is on the control panel under the Subaru logo. The Product, or Spec, number and serial number are on the end of the fuel tank above the wheels. February 12, 2013 Samsonite Recalls Dual-Wattage Travel Converter Kits Due to Fire, Burn Hazards

This recall involves the Samsonite Dual-Wattage Travel Converter Kits used to make standard U.S. and Canadian appliances usable abroad. The kit includes one black converter to change 220-volt AC electricity to 110-volt AC, two adapter plugs with round prongs, two with flat prongs and one grounded adapter plug with three flat prongs. The converter has a red switch to adjust the wattage of the appliance from 50 to 1600 watts. The words "Dual-Wattage Converter" and "Do Not Use 50W on Hair Dryer" appear on the front of the converter. The Samsonite logo appears on each piece in the set.

January 8, 2013 PLATINUM Neon Sign Power Supply Transformers Made by HEICO lighting Recalled Due To Fire Hazard

This recall involves neon power supply transformers designed to power commercial signs. They are in black metal boxes about 4.5 inches long by 3.5 inches wide with rows of vents on all sides. "HEICO LIGHTING™" and the model information are printed on a plate on the transformer. The recalled models include PLATINUM-9000-30, PLATINUM-10000-30, PLATINUM-12000-30, TFT-04PL-6000-30, and TFT-06PL-9000-30. Read more.


November 15, 2012 American Honda Recalls Portable Generators Due to Fire and Burn Hazards

This recall involves Honda gasoline-powered portable generators with model number EU2000i and serial numbers EAAJ-2260273 through EAAJ-2485025. The generators are black and red in color or have a camouflage design. They measure about 20 inches long by 11 ½ inches wide by 16 ½ inches tall. “Honda,” “EU converter” and the model number 2000i are printed on the side of the generator. “Companion” is printed on the side of some EU2000i models. November 13, 2012 Powermate Generators Recall to Repair by Pramac America Due to Fire Hazard; Sold Exclusively at Home Depot

The recalled portable generators have "Powermate 5500" printed on the side of the black generator with wheels. These generators were sold under the model name Sx5500 and model number PM0125500. Both are printed on a plate on the rear of the generators with serial numbers of the recalled units ranging from K003xxxxxQ through K090xxxxxQ. Read more.

February 22, 2012 2GIG Technologies Recalls Modules Used In Go!Control Panels for Home Security Systems Due to Fire and Burn Hazard

The GSM radio module in the Go!Control Panel enables wireless communication between the home security system and alarm monitoring companies. The Go!Control panels are 6-inches high and 8.5-inches wide and are made of white plastic. The front of the control panel has a color touch screen display, a speaker and “emergency” and “home” buttons. A home security company name may also appear on the front of the panel. The recalled radio modules are a component used inside the Go!Control panels. A professional home security system installer can identify the recalled module. November 22, 2011 Motion Sensing Wall Switches Recalled by HeathCo due to Electrical Shock Hazard

This recall involves Heath®/Zenith and WirelessCommand® motion sensing wall switches with model numbers listed below. The product replaces a standard household wall switch and is designed to turn off the attached lighting load when motion is no longer detected in the room. The products come in white or ivory.
