September 14, 2023 Buffalo Games Recalls Chuckle & Roar Ultimate Water Beads Activity Kits Due to Serious Ingestion, Choking and Obstruction Hazards; One Infant Death Reported; Sold Exclusively at Target

This recall involves the Chuckle & Roar Ultimate Water Beads Activity Kit. On the front of the purple container, the label states Ultimate Water Beads Activity Kit. It includes: 2 ounces of "jumbo" water beads and 6 ounces of "regular" water beads. Along with a clear container and lid, there are five small toy fish, a scissor scoop, tweezers, a scoop with a handle, 10 activity cards and instructions. The activity kit was sold in a purple box with UPC Number 079346627035 on the back. Read more.


June 22, 2023 Sound Around Recalls Children's Multi-Purpose Helmets Due to Risk of Head Injury

This recall involves the Hurtle multi-purpose children's helmet. The helmets were sold in black, blue, pink, white and red. The helmets have the word "Renegade" on the side in white or black lettering. The straps are black and the white warning label on the inside of the helmet states "Renegade" in black and orange lettering. The helmets are sized to fit head circumferences from about seven inches to about eight inches. Read more.


August 19, 2020 Hasbro Recalls Super Soaker XP 20 and XP 30 Water Blasters Due to Violation of Federal Lead Content Ban; Sold Exclusively at Target

This recall involves the Super Soaker XP20 (E6286) which is a green and orange hand-held water blaster, and the XP 30 (E6289) which is an orange and blue hand-held water blaster. "Nerf Super Soaker" and the model number are printed on the sticker on the side of the water blaster. Read more.

April 13, 2017 Target Recalls Water Absorbing Toys Due to Serious Ingestion Hazard

This recall involves Hatch & Grow Easter Eggs, Easter Grow Toys and Hatch Your Own Dino. Hatch & Grow Easter Eggs and Easter Grow Toys have model number 234-25-1200 on the back of the product's packaging. Hatch Your Own Dino Egg has model number 234-09-0016 on the label inserted in the product's packaging. The pink, blue, or purple Hatch & Grow Easter Eggs include a white bunny, brown bunny, or butterfly. The Easter Grow Toys include a yellow chick, brown bunny, or white bunny. The Hatch Your Own Dino Eggs are purple or yellow/green and contains one of eleven dinosaurs. Read more.


December 12, 2013 Doodlebutt Recalls Jelly BeadZ Jumbo BeadZ and Magic Growing Fruity Fun Toys Due to Serious Ingestion Hazard

This recall involves Doodlebutt Jelly BeadZ Jumbo BeadZ and Magic Growing Fruity Fun water-absorbing polymer toys. The toys can absorb from 300 to 500 times their weight in water and can grow up to eight times their original size. Jumbo BeadZ toys are marble-sized water-absorbing balls. They were sold in a package consisting of three separate 2.5-inch x 2-inch clear, resealable bags inside a 3.5-inch x 4-inch clear, resealable bag. Each smaller bag had eight to 12 water balls of slightly different sizes. The balls came in clear, blue, red, orange, yellow, green and purple colors. The front of the larger bag had a multi-colored label with the words "Jelly BeadZ," "Easy to follow directions" and had instructions for use. Magic Growing Fruity Fun toys are water-absorbing polymers in the shapes of apples, bananas, butterflies, cherries, grapes, pineapples, roses and strawberries. They were sold in 3.5-inch x 4-inch, clear, resealable bag with seven assorted shapes in it. They came in blue, green, orange, pink, red and yellow. The label on the front of the bag has the words "For 'Kidz' of All Ages," "Jelly BeadZ," "Bouncy and Beautiful," "Colorfast," "Non Toxic," "Safe for the Environment," and other words that describe uses for the product. The back of the package has two smaller labels. One label contains instructions for use and the other has a barcode with "XU00EC1JRN" beneath it. Read more.


July 31, 2013 Be Amazing! Toys Recalls Monster Science and Super Star Science Colossal Water Balls Due to Serious Ingestion Hazard

This recall involves marble-sized toys that absorb water and grow up to 400 times their original size. They were sold as Monster Science Colossal Water Balls (model #7255) and Super Star Science! Colossal Water Balls (model #7704). Monster Science packages contain eight balls and "Growth Powder." Super Star Science! packages contain five balls. The balls were sold in an assortment of blue, green, orange, purple, red, yellow or clear colors. The "Be Amazing! Toys" star logo, "Ages 8+", the name of the toy, "Colossal Water Balls" and a warning not to use without adult supervision are on the front of each product's packaging. October 18, 2010 Bathtub Toys Recalled by Munchkin Due to Risk of Injury

This recall involves battery-operated bathtub submarine toys. The toy is yellow, has a smiling face, turquoise windows, an orange propeller and an orange periscope that turns the toy on and off. The intake valve has a water pump that sucks in water to propel the submarine. The toy is intended for use by children during bath time. Read more.


November 19, 2008 Target Recalls Dive Sticks Due to Impalement Hazard

The recalled dive sticks were sold in a bundle of three in multiple colors: light blue, aqua green, fluorescent yellow, royal blue, and red. The tag accompanying the dive sticks contains: “Dive Toys” or “Diving Game” and has a white small parts warning label in the upper right hand corner.
