August 23, 2007 Basic Editions Girls' Clothing Sets Recalled by Kmart; Drawstrings at Waist Pose Entrapment Hazard

The two Basic Edition-brand girls' sets have fully tunneled waist drawstrings and two-fer style layered shirts. One set has a light green screen print top with "Varsity Club Winning Attitude" text, over a white shirt, paired with turquoise cuff shorts. The second set has an orange screen print top with "Paradise University Girls Club" text, over a white shirt paired with light green knit shorts. Both sets were sold in the following girls' sizes: 4/5, 6/6X, 7/8, and 10/12. Read more.


April 17, 2007 Life is good® Children's Sweatshirts Recalled by RedEnvelope; Garments Have Drawstrings, Pose Strangulation Hazard

The recalled sweatshirts have "LIFE IS GOOD" written on the front in sewn-on letters. They were sold in children sizes small (6-8), medium (10) and large (12) with drawstrings through the hood. Sweatshirt colors include dark and light blue. Read more.


March 8, 2007 Cobmex Inc. Recalls Youth Jackets with Drawstrings Due to Strangulation Hazard

The nylon, zipper front jackets were sold in youth sizes and have a Cobmex neck label. The jackets were manufactured in various colors, including navy, black, green, red and wine. Only youth-size jackets with drawstrings are included in the recall. Read more.


February 13, 2007 Basix U.S.A. Recalls Children's Hooded Sweatshirts and Windbreakers with Drawstrings Due to Strangulation Hazard

This recall involves children's hooded sweatshirts and windbreakers sizes S to XL. Hooded sweatshirts included in the recall were sold in pink, white, light blue, yellow, navy and gray. The nylon windbreakers were sold in royal blue, olive, pink, light blue and navy. A tag sewn inside of the garment reads, "Basix USA." Style number PK215, PK218, KPF265, KPF275, or KH185 is printed on the garment's hang tag. Read more.


January 10, 2007 Children's Hooded Sweatshirts with Drawstrings Recalled by Seena International for Strangulation Hazard

This recall involves children's fleece hooded sweatshirts, sizes 8-12. The sweatshirts were sold in black, brown, blue, red, grey, white and off-white. The words "BKLYN Xpress" and "Brooklyn Xpress" and various graphic designs are embroidered on the sweatshirts. A sewn-in tag has one of the following style numbers: BXFL72B, BXFL73B, BXFL74B, BXFL75B, BXFL77B or BXFL80B. This recall only involves sweatshirts in sizes 8 to 12. Read more.


November 30, 2006 Dollar Days International Recalls Children's Parka Jackets with Drawstrings for Strangulation Hazard

The jackets come in seven color combinations: black with a grey stripe along the sleeves, light blue with a black stripe along the sleeves, grey with a black stripe along the sleeves, navy blue with a gray stripe along the sleeves, yellow with a grey stripe along the sleeves and navy blue with a white stripe across the chest, and black with a white stripe across the chest. The jacket's zipper goes all the way up to create a mock turtleneck. The removable hood attaches with a zipper and has a drawstring. There is elastic at the sleeves, side pockets, and a drawstring at the waist. Read more.


September 20, 2006 Gildan Activewear Recalls Youth Hooded Sweatshirts with Drawstrings for Strangulation Hazard

The fleece sweatshirts were sold in youth sizes Extra Small to Extra Large, and have a "Gildan Activewear" neck label. The sweatshirts were manufactured in 12 different colors. These sweatshirts are often used by local print shops to add logos and sportswear decals. Read more.


September 20, 2006 The Cayre Group Recalls Hooded Sweatshirts with Drawstrings Sold at Kohl's for Strangulation Hazard

The recalled hoodie style zip front hooded sweatshirts were sold in four youth sizes S (7-8), M (9-12), L (14) and XL (16.) The sweatshirts have drawstrings through the hood and were available in two colors, Blue Bell and Demitasse. A tag sewn on the inside of the garment reads, "Candie's." Read more.

The recalled hoodies have a drawstring through the hood. The products are black, pink, or blue and were sold in children sizes XS, S, M, L, and XL. The True Religion horseshoe design is displayed on the front of the hoodie. The name "True Religion" appears inside the hoodie. Read more.

The recalled hood sweatshirts have a drawstring through the hood. The sweatshirts are pink, white, brown, navy or green with a beaded heart logo and embroidered flowers on the front above the left pocket. They were sold in girls' sizes SML to XL.
