April 2, 2013 Haier America Expands Recall of Chest Freezers Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves the Haier� models HNCM070E with 7.0 cubic foot capacity and ESNCM053E with 5.3 cubic foot capacity, and Black & Decker� model BFE53 with 5.3 cubic foot capacity white chest freezers. "Haier" is printed on the upper-left corner of the freezer, or "Black & Decker" is printed on the front upper-right corner of the freezer. "Haier" or "Black & Decker," the model number, the unit's serial number and other information are printed on a rating label at the top center of the back of the freezer. The recalled Black & Decker model BFE53 freezer also has a label adjacent to the rating label with the UPC number 896603002660 printed on it.

March 7, 2013 The Pampered Chef Recalls Garlic Slicers Due to Laceration Hazard

This recall involves The Pampered Chef garlic slicers sold individually and with a garlic peeler. The garlic slicers were sold under product numbers 1113 (individual) and 2578 (set). The two-piece white plastic, tube shaped slicer measures 2 � inches by 3 � inches and has two blades on the end. "The Pampered Chef" is engraved on the top cover.

February 27, 2013 Jerdon Style Recalls One-Cup Coffeemakers Due to Burn and Fire Hazards

This recall involves Jerdon Style model CM12B one-cup coffee makers, with date code 1217. The coffee makers are black and have an oval, red indicator light above the on/off switch. The coffee maker brews a single, eight to 12-ounce cup of coffee. The phrases "FIRST CLASS" and "JERDON" are printed in white letters on the front of the product. The model and date code are imprinted on a nameplate located on the bottom of the coffeemaker.

February 7, 2013 BlueStar Wall Ovens Recalled by Prizer Painter Stove Works Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves all colors of three models of BlueStar gas-powered stainless steel wall ovens manufactured prior to November 23, 2012. Oven sizes include 24-, 30- and 36-inche wide units. Each of the three sizes was available for use with natural gas or liquid propane. The propane version is designated by the letter "L" at the end of the model number. Model numbers and date codes are located on the rating plate inside the control panel. There is a BlueStar logo on the upper left front of the oven, above the door.

November 8, 2012 LG Electronics Recalls Electric Ranges Due to Burn and Fire Hazards

The recalled ranges involve models LRE30451, LRE30453, LRE30755, LRE30757, and LRE30955ST. They were sold in black, white and stainless steel and with a smooth black ceramic glass top cooking surface. The recalled ranges have serial numbers starting with 512, 601, 602, 603, 604, 605, 606, 607, 608, 609, 610, 611, 612, 701, 702, 703, 704, 705, 706, 707, 708, 709, 710, 711, 712, 801, 802, 803, 804, 805, 806, 807, 808, 809, 810, 901, 902, 903, 904, 905, and 906. The model and serial numbers can be found on a label that can be seen by opening the storage drawer at the base of the unit. The electric ranges are about 47½ inches tall to the top of the backguard, 29 inches wide and 28 inches deep. Read more.

The recalled coffeemaker comes in black with silver, red or white trim. It stands about 11 inches tall and has a Brew Now /Off button and a removable drip tray. July 5, 2012 iSi North America Recalls Twist'n Sparkle Beverage Carbonation System Due to Explosion Hazard

The products are plastic bottles used as a part of the iSi Twist'n Sparkle Beverage Carbonation System. The recalled bottles were sold in the Starter Set model number 1005 with one reusable bottle and the Bottle Set model number 1006 with two reusable bottles. June 20, 2012 Frigidaire Gas Range Recalled Due to Fire Hazard, Sold Exclusively at Lowe's Stores

This recall for inspection and/or repair involves Frigidaire Gas Ranges Model # LGGF3043KFM with serial numbers within the following range: VF20457216 to VF20457555. The model and serial numbers are located near the base of the range just below the bottom right portion of the oven door. This gas range has five burners, stainless steel exterior and Frigidaire nameplate centered on the lower part of the oven door. Read more.


June 7, 2012 California Innovations Expands Recall of Freezer Gel Packs Due to Ingestion Hazard

The recalled products are Cryofreeze ice/hot packs and Arctic Zone ice packs. The packs are gel-filled plastic pouches with either transparent or opaque sealed wrappers. They are used to keep food hot or cold. The gel packs were sold separately and with a variety of lunch boxes, coolers and thermal carriers. Six gel pack styles are being recalled: Cryofreeze ice/hot packs in small and large styles. Both have opaque blue wrappers with the words "Cryofreeze," "Ice Pack/Hot Pack," "Non-toxic" and "Reusable" printed on the front: The small gel pack is 6 inches wide and 5.5 inches high The large gel pack is 8.5 inches wide and 8 inches high Cryofreeze Transparent Cell ice/hot packs in three styles. Each has a transparent wrapper with the words "Cryofreeze," "Ice Pack/Hot Pack," "Non-toxic" and "Reusable" printed on the front: One 3-cell pack has three connected rectangular-shaped pouches of blue gel and is 7.85 inches wide and 5.5 inches high. Another 3-cell pack has three connected square-shaped pouches of blue gel and is 7.6 inches wide and 3 inches high. The 2-cell pack has two connected square-shaped pouches of blue gel and is 5 inches wide and 3 inches high. Arctic Zone ice pack is 6.25 inches wide and 4 inches high and has an opaque blue wrapper. This recall involves Black & Decker® brand 12-cup coffeemakers designed to mount under a cabinet. Available in either white or black models, the words “BLACK & DECKER® SPACEMAKER™” are printed in the top right-hand corner. The coffeemakers have a digital time display in the top left corner and five round buttons above the water reservoir.
