December 6, 2012 Dream On Me Recalls Children's Bed Rails Due to Suffocation and Strangulation Hazards

This recall involves Dream On Me Bed Rails. The bed rails are used to keep young children from falling out of bed. They have a white metal frame covered by blue or pink mesh fabric and metal arms that extend about 11/2 feet under the mattress. The bed rails measure 17 inches high x 41 inches long. This recall includes Bordeaux Collection full- and twin-size sleigh beds with wooden headboards and footboards in a cherry finish. Each bed also has two matching wooden side rails. “Bordeaux” and a model number are printed on a white label on the back of the headboard and footboard. Model numbers for the recalled beds are 8070-242 and 8070-243 for the full-size and 8070-232 and 8070-233 for the twin-size. Read more.

March 22, 2012 Adjustable Mattress Bases Recalled by Leggett & Platt Due to Fire Hazard

The power foundations are motorized bed frames, controlled by handheld remotes, which enable the head and/or the foot of the bed mattress to be moved up and down. These power foundations were offered in all bed sizes and they were sold with handheld remote controls. The recalled models are “Titanium,” “Gold” and “Signature” by Leggett & Platt and other brands names including Interflex, American Signature, Spring Air, Sealy and Simmons. Since power foundations look very similar, consumers should identify their products by looking at the remote controls. The remotes controls are either black or dark gray and feature multiple buttons and a label with one of these brand names: Adjustables by Leggett & Platt, Interflex, American Signature, Sealy, Simmons or Spring Air. February 2, 2012 LTD Commodities Recalls Sleeper Ottomans Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves fold-out sleeper ottomans with a brown slipcover. The ottoman unfolds to three cushions on a black, steel frame. Velcro straps secure the cushions to the frame when in the unfolded sleep position. A tag with the manufacturer's registration number "VA18265(CN)" is attached to one of the three cushions. December 28, 2011 Madeline Bed Canopy Recalled by Pottery Barn Kids Due to Impact Hazard

The canopy is part of the Madeline Bedroom Collection. It is made of wood and consists of four posts that connect to the headboard and footboard of the bed and four rails that connect to the top portion of each post. It is available for twin-, full- and queen-sized Madeline Beds and comes in white, antique white, blade green, Sun Valley blade green, Sun Valley light green and Sun Valley espresso. June 8, 2010 Bayside Furnishings Recalls to Repair Youth Beds Sold at Costco Due to Entrapment Hazard

This recall involves the Bayside youth bed: the Pirates of the Caribbean Twin Trundle Bed. The preassembled headboard has a brown wood base with decorative carvings, three open storage compartments, a storage bin and a mast. The storage bin located in the headboard, measures approximately 39 inches long, 6 1/2 inches wide and 24 inches deep. The "Pirates of the Caribbean" trademark is embossed on a metal plate inside the headboard. The name and address of the manufacturer, model number, manufacture date and "Made in China" is printed on a label affixed to the inside of the mattress frame side rails. Read more.
