June 21, 2012 Bluestem Brands and Tone World International Recall Recliner Chair Due to Violation of Lead Paint Standards

The recalled adult-sized recliner chairs have wooden legs. The chairs include a reclining function and foot rest extension. The fabric is jacquard in a paisley design. The phrases: "Manufactured By Xiamen Xinzhjheng Foam Products Co., LTD Xiang-Bei Industrial Area, Xiang' An District, Xiamen" and "Made in China" are printed on a label located on the underside of the recliner chair. June 6, 2012 West Marine Recalls Folding Deck Chairs Due to Collapse Hazard

The recalled item is a West Marine Deluxe Deck Chair. It is a folding deck chair with metal legs and light-colored wood armrests. It has plastic feet on the corners of each leg. The seat and back are covered with blue and gray nylon fabric. The back can be adjusted to various angles. Model/SKU number “13110341” is printed on a coated paper tag attached to the chair frame. May 10, 2012 Kennedy International Recalls Folding Step Stools Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves 9-inch and 13-inch Kennedy International folding step stools. The step stools are plastic and have a handle for carrying the stools when they are folded. The style number is 3575 for the 9-inch and 3576 for the 13-inch step stools. The style number is printed on a sticker on one of the legs of the stool. "Kennedy Home Collection" is also printed on a label on some of the stools. They were sold in the following colors: blue, green, gray, red, purple, pink, orange, turquoise, aqua, white, plum, orchid, emerald, sapphire, sangria, ocean, sage, fuchsia, lime and various color combinations. May 8, 2012 Sonoma Valley Bar Stools Sold Exclusively at Havertys Furniture Recalled by Intercon Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves wooden bar stools with a chair top swivel seat. The seat has a slatted backrest, curved armrests and is padded with a cream-colored cloth cushion. The wood is a medium-dark pine color. The stools have four curved legs with a wooden ring running through each leg close to the ground. This recall involves bar stools sold between October 2010 through March 2012 which are 24" or 30" in height and have the model numbers "SV-BS-760SW-AMR-C24" or "SV-BS-760SW-AMR-C30." April 5, 2012 West Elm Recalls Folding Chairs Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves West Elm solid wood and fully assembled folding chairs sold in white, red or chocolate. The chairs were sold individually and in sets of two and four. An unfolded chair measures 17-inches wide by 19-inches deep by 31-inches high. A sticker on the underside of the seat reads "West Elm." Read more.


April 1, 2012 Tricam Industries Recalls Easy Reach Step Stools Due to Fall Hazard; Sold exclusively at The Home Depot

The recalled products are Easy Reach by Gorilla Ladders 3-Step Pro Series step stools, model number HB3-PRO. The step stools have three plastic steps, a steel tubular frame and a plastic-molded tool holder. The model number is located on the underside of the middle step on a blue label. The label also states that the step stools are rated to support 225 lbs. Recalled step stools have a "J" stamped into the underside of the top step and/or the underside of the tool holder. January 18, 2012 Steelcase Inc. Recalls Desk Chairs Due to Fall Hazard

This recall includes the model 482 Series Steelcase Amia desk chairs manufactured between March 1, 2011 and June 6, 2011. The model number and manufacture date are printed on a label on the underside of the chair seat. The seats are available in various colored fabric options as well as leather. Read more.


January 5, 2012 Children's Chairs and Stools Recalled by Elegant Gifts Mart Due to Violation of Lead Paint Standard

The children's folding chairs and the stools have yellow metal tube frames. The plastic seat, seat backs and stool have a cartoon-like scene with monkeys, teddy bears, mushrooms and heart-shaped balloons. "PENGKO" is printed on the chair's heart-shaped seatback. Item number "JCA8036" is printed on a white sticker underneath the chair's seat. Item number "JCA8037" is printed on a white sticker underneath the stool. Read more.


October 25, 2011 Big Lots Recalls Glider Recliners with Ottomans Due to Entrapment and Finger Crushing Hazards

The Microfiber Glider Recliner and Leather Glider Recliner are reclining glider/rocking chairs on a swivel base. Both the chair and ottoman sit on circular metal bases made from 1.25 inch metal tubing and have cushions covered in either light brown or green microfiber fabric or dark brown simulated leather fabric. A label under the seat of the chair identifies the manufacturer as Dongguan Shindin Metal & Plastic Products Ltd. There is a small label on the front metal rod under the seat that states "Maximum wt load 250 lbs." Read more.
