This recall involves twelve models of Hitachi Koki and Tanaka-brand hand-held grass trimmers. The gasoline-powered trimmers have either a green engine cover (Hitachi) or orange (Tanaka). The Hitachi or Tanaka logo is printed on the circular plate on the starter pull housing. Model and serial numbers are also located on the circular plate. The trimmers are used in both residential and professional applications for cutting grass and light brush. The cutting attachments include a trimmer head and metal blade. The trimmers are about 72 inches long. They are colored red and gray with either a bike or loop handle configuration. Three models are recalled in two engine sizes measured in cubic centimeters. They are: 36cc models 8371 S and 8371 T, and a 40.2cc model 8421 T engine displacement. This recall involves 19 models of John Deere 1000, 2000, 3000 and 4000 series compact utility tractors manufactured between February 2013 and July 2013. The tractors are green and yellow with a foldable black, metal rollover protection bar that extends above the operator's head. The model number is on the hood. The serial number is located on the right hand side of the frame above the front axle. The recalled snow blower is 24-inches wide and comes in orange with black. Recalled products have the model number 920014 and serial numbers ranging from 100,000 through 119,039 that can be found on an Ariens-brand label on the lower back panel of the product with the warranty code. There is also a Briggs & Stratton engine model number 13D1370110 F1 labeled on the side of the engine with the serial number range from 12053000000 through 12071699999. Engines with a circular black marker dot located on the right side of the engine base, below the electric starter and just above the oil drain plug, have already been inspected and are not part of this recall.

This recall involves ECHO Bear Cat brand hydraulic log splitter with model numbers LS27270 and LS27270T, with a date code of 012908 stamped on the hydraulic cylinder. The model number is printed on the main beam of the log splitters. The date code is stamped on the hydraulic cylinder near the capped end. The log splitters are black and orange with ECHO Bear Cat printed on the hydraulic cylinder. Read more.

This recall involves the Husqvarna Grass Trimmer Model 122C with serial numbers that range from 2011 17 00001 to 2011 52 99999. “Husqvarna” and the model number are written on top of the tool. The serial number is located on a black plate on the bottom of the muffler side of the tool. The recalled Husqvarna Hedge Trimmers are Models 122HD60 and 122HD45 with serial numbers that range from 2011 17 00001 to 2011 52 99999. “Husqvarna” and the model number are written on top of the tool. This recall involves Cub Cadet, MTD Gold and Troy-Bilt lawn tractors sold with Hydro-Gear model 618-0319 and 618-04270B transaxles. Cub Cadet and Troy-Bilt tractors included in this recall have dates of manufacture (DOM) ranging from December 2010 through March 2011. The DOM can be found on a label on the underside of the seat. MTD Gold can be identified by serial numbers starting with 1L15 or 1L16. Affected transaxles have serial numbers with the first four digits ranging between 0333 and 0348. The recalled grass trimmer is made by Honda and has the model number HHT35SUKAT. The trimmer is gas-powered and has a red engine housing with the word "Honda" on the top front and a bicycle handlebar-style grip. A label on the shaft includes the words "Honda" and "HHT35S." Recalled trimmers are in the serial number range HAHA-1000001 to HAHA-1017345. The serial number is located on the top side of the shaft below the handlebars. Read more.

This recall involves STIHL MS 391 gas-powered chain saws with an orange top casing, gray base and black front handle and hand guard. "STIHL" and "MS 391" are printed in an orange circle on the starter side of the unit. The serial number is located on the crankcase to the right of the muffler when viewed from the rear of the saw. The recalled brushcutter / trimmer is a RedMax model TR2350S. Recalled brushcutters have shaft serial numbers ranging from 10215377 to 10625892, and engine serial numbers ranging from 10115390 to 10425910. The product is powered by a 2-cycle gasoline engine and cuts grass or weeds through the use of a spinning black trimmer head containing a spool of filament line. Model number and shaft serial number are located on a label on the shaft halfway between the trimmer head and the engine.
