February 3, 2011 Sunbeam Products Inc. Recalls Convertible Irons Due to Fire Hazard; Sold Exclusively at Bed, Bath & Beyond

The recalled product is the Sunbeam® Convertible Iron with a model number of GCSBRS - 103. It is a blue and gray, hand-held garment iron that converts to a garment steamer. The model number can be found on the bottom of the iron's plastic base. The recalled irons have date codes C235 or C237 imprinted on the blade of the plug and on the bottom of the packaging. February 3, 2011 DeVilbiss Recalls Air Compressors Due to Fire Hazard

The recalled compressors were sold under the Craftsman, Delta Shopmaster, DeVilbiss, Husky and Porter-Cable brand names. January 20, 2011 Poulan Pro Generators Recalled by Husqvarna Professional Products Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves gas-powered Poulan Pro Generators designed for residential use. Models included in the recall are: PP4300, PP6600, PP6600E and PP7600E, all serial numbers. The generator's model number can be found on the front of the fuel tank on the Serial Number Plate. The generators are black and marigold color, measure 21.5" H x 26.6" L x 21.3" range from 4.4 to 7.6 KW with two handles and two wheels. Read more.


January 20, 2011 Frontgate Recalls Step Ladders Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves Frontgate foldaway closet two- and three-step ladders. The ladders are made of mahogany wood and designed for use in walk-in closets. January 18, 2011 Schneider Electric Recalls Xantrex GT Series Grid Tie Solar Inverters Due to Injury Hazard

The recalled inverter converts solar photovoltaic voltages into utility grid voltages; allowing the owner to feed power into the electrical grid. The recalled units were manufactured between September 2005 and August 2010. These products were sold under the Xantrex, Sunpower, and General Electric brands. January 12, 2011 White-Rodgers Recalls Home Heating and Cooling Thermostats Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves all White-Rodgers programmable thermostats with model numbers 1F88-XXX and 1F85RF-275 and date codes beginning with 05, 06, 07, 08, 09 and 1001 through 1039. The model number is printed on the thermostat’s front pull-down panel door. The date code is located inside the removable front cover. White-Rodgers and/or the utility company’s name and logo are printed on the front of the thermostat. These thermostats were able to be controlled by power companies in homes that took part in energy demand reduction programs. Read more.


January 11, 2011 GE and Professional Series Brand Dehumidifiers Recalled Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves 30-pint and 40-pint portable dehumidifiers manufactured between November 2006 and August 2007, and during April 2008. The dehumidifiers are white with a front-loading water bucket. "GE" or "Professional Series" and digital controls are located on top of the dehumidifier. December 16, 2010 Wal-Mart Recalls Electric Heaters Due to Fire and Burn Hazard

This recall involves Flow Pro, Airtech, Aloha Breeze and Comfort Essentials 1500 watt heaters. The heaters are grey with a metal handle on the top with vents and grey control knobs on the front. The model number is 1013 and can be found on a label on the lower left corner of the back panel of the heater. Read more.

This recall involves Extech digital clamp meters with model numbers EX612, EX613, EX622 and EX623 and multimeters with model numbers EX540, EX542 and EX570. “Extech” and the model number can be found on the front of the product and the serial number on the rear.
