This recall involves 1500 watt oscillating ceramic heaters model EB38005. The heater has a white plastic housing with the name "Heat-Wave" in black on its top. A label on the bottom of the product contains the model and the control number "ETL 3090262." Read more.


November 27, 2007 Miter Saws Recalled by WMH Tool Group Due to Laceration Hazard

The recall includes Performax model number 90206 and Wilton model number 34570 10-inch sliding miter saws with date code/serial numbers ranging from W062505 to W070405. The model, date code/serial numbers are printed on a black label on the motor housing of the saw. Read more.


November 21, 2007 Discount School Supply Recalls Paint Brushes Due to Violation of Lead Paint Standard

The recall involves a set of six “shaving-style” brushes, which are about 4-inches long. The brushes’ handles are painted blue, purple, orange, yellow, lime green, and pink. The item number #SHVBRSH is printed on the product’s packaging. Brush sets with handles in brown, dark blue, red, green, blue, and black are not included in this recall. The recalled brushes were also included with the “BioColor® Foam Paint Starter Kit” and “Colorations® Foam Paint Starter Kit.” Read more.


November 8, 2007 Yamaha Recalls AC Power Adaptors Due to Electric Shock Hazard

This recall involves the Yamaha PA-3C power adaptor with a date code of 0624. The adaptor is used with Yamaha keyboards and digital drum sets. The model number is written in white print on the front of the plug of the adaptor and the date code is etched into the plastic at the bottom of the plug panel. November 7, 2007 Packaged Terminal Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps Recalled by Carrier Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves Carrier-brand packaged terminal air conditioners (PTAC) and packaged terminal heat pumps (PTHP) manufactured between 2002 and 2005. Model numbers included in the recall are 52C, 52P, and unbranded model 84 units sold through the Bryant and FAST channels. Serial and model numbers are located on the rating/data plate on the right front of the unit, underneath the removable front panel. October 30, 2007 Connecticut Electric Recalls Counterfeit Square D Circuit Breakers Due To Fire Hazard

The counterfeit circuit breakers are black and are marked as Square D products. Connecticut Electric has identified the following breakers as possibly being counterfeit: QO115, QO120, QO140, QO2125, QO215, QO220, QO230, QO240, QO250, QO260, QO1515, QO2020, QO3100, QO320, QO330, QO340, QO360, QOB120, QOB130, QOB220, QOB230, QOB250, QOB330, and QOB360. Actual Square D circuit breakers have (a) the amp rating written on the handle in white paint on the front of the breaker; (b) the Square D insignia molded onto the breaker side, and; (c) a yellow chromate mounting clip with half of the top of the clip visible. If your Square D breaker does not match this description, it could be counterfeit. Read more.

The recalled gas or electric grinders are used to grind concrete surfaces for repair or removal. The grinders have two wheels, a handle and are blue or green in color. October 18, 2007 Kong Maxx Ladder Stands Sold at Gander Mountain Recalled Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves Gorilla Kong Maxx Ladder Stands with model number 43032 and batch numbers G051507, G051507D, G061507D, G071507D, and G081507D. Model numbers are printed on the box only. Batch numbers are stamped on the vertical rail of the first ladder section. The stand is 19-feet to the shooting rail, or 16-foot 8-inches to the platform. The foot platform measures 17 ½ -inches wide. This is the only Gorilla, Inc. ladder stand with these dimensions. Read more.
