CPSC, Firms Announce Recall of Novelty Cigarette Lighters and Propane Torches
The following two product safety recalls were conducted by firms in cooperation with the CPSC. Please choose the appropriate recall below.
- Novelty cigarette lighters recalled by Tools Exchange Inc., of Lynwood, Calif.
Tools Exchange Inc., of Lynwood, Calif., is recalling about 5,300 novelty cigarette lighters. The lighters do not have child-resistant mechanisms, as required by federal law. Young children could ignite the lighters, presenting fire and burn hazards.
- Propane Torches recalled by Harbor Freight Tools, of Camarillo, Calif.
Harbor Freight Tools, of Camarillo, Calif., is voluntarily recalling about 500 propane torches. The hose that comes with the propane torch can crack or burst, presenting a fire and explosion hazard.
