July 21, 2009 Fiesta Recalls to Repair Gas Grills Due to Fire, Burn Hazards

This recall involves Blue Ember liquid propane (LP) outdoor grills with model and serial numbers listed below. The cabinet style grill has two doors and is silver and black or silver and gray. "Blue Ember" is printed on the grill’s hood. The model and serial numbers are printed on a rating plate label on the rear of the grill. Read more.


July 8, 2009 Husqvarna Recalls Lawn Tractors; Parking Brake Failure Can Cause Loss of Control

The recalled Craftsman power lawn tractor is gray colored, has 19.5 HP engine, automatic drive, and a 42 inch cutting deck. The following model and serial numbers are included in the recall. The model and serial numbers are located on a model plate under the tractor’s seat. Read more.



May 28, 2009 Home Depot Recalls Patio Umbrellas Due to Risk of Impact Injury

May 13, 2009 Composite Decks Recalled by Louisiana-Pacific; Decks Can Deteriorate and Break, Posing Fall Hazard

The recall includes outdoor deck board and railings sold under the brand names LP WeatherBest®, ABTCo., and Veranda®. They are composite products that look similar to natural wood and were sold in various colors including Tuscan Walnut/Chestnut, Driftwood Grey/Greystone, Pacific Cedar and Western Redwood. Veranda decking products were manufactured by multiple firms; only products manufactured by LP are included in this recall. Read more.


April 1, 2009 Brave Products Reannounces Recall of Log Splitters; Additional Incidents Prompt Urgent Warning of Amputation Hazard

The log splitters are made of steel and painted orange and black, or blue and black. They have trailer hitches and rubber tires. Each log splitter has a decal on the side that reads “Brave Products, Inc.” or “Iron & Oak” and “__ ton” (either 15, 22, 26, or 34). December 11, 2008 The Toro Company Reannounces Recall of Electric Blowers Due to Projectile Hazards

The recall involves Toro Power Sweep electric blower model 51586 that was manufactured between 2000 and 2002. The recalled units have serial numbers that range between 000055100 and 220255609. There are two decals on the main housing of the blower. One decal reads, “TORO Power Sweep” and the decal on the opposite side of the blower contains the model number and serial number (shown by the letter “A” in the picture below). The recalled units can be identified by a black impeller fan, which can be seen through the air inlet screen on the bottom of the unit. Read more.
