December 12, 2007 Outdoor Vacuums with Honda Engines Recalled By Billy Goat Industries Inc. Due to Fire Hazard

The recalled outdoor vacuum is black and green with a red motor housing. “Billy Goat” is printed on the vacuum’s bag. Only outdoor vacuums with the following model and serial numbers are included in the recall. November 27, 2007 Meijer Inc. Recalls Firepits; Product Can Tip Over and Pose a Fire Hazard

This recall involves the Grand Gourmet metal wood-burning firepits model FSQ279. The firepit is black, has four legs and two sparks guards on top. It measures 27 inches wide by 27 inches deep by 25 1/2 inches high. The model number can be found on the cover page of the product manual. Read more.

October 25, 2007 Jo-Ann Stores Expands Recall of Children's Toy Garden Tools Due to Violation of Lead in Paint Standard

This recall involves the Robbie Ducky children’s leaf rake, hoe, broom and spade. “Robbie Ducky™ Garden Collection” is printed on a tag attached to the handle. The rake has a yellow handle with the head of a tortoise and green prongs. The hoe has an orange handle with a caterpillar and a blue blade. The broom has a purple handle with a duck and an orange brush. The spade has a yellow handle with the head of a frog and a red blade. The tools measure between 27 and 29 inches long. Read more.


October 18, 2007 Additional Injuries Prompt Re-announcement of Sportsstuff Recall of Air Pumps

The recalled products are air pumps with model numbers 57-1504-A and 57-1504 that are used to inflate low pressure inflatable items such as rafts and toys. The Model 57-1504-A pump was sold separately with an assortment of interlocking nozzles. The Model 57-1504 pump was sold with the Sportsstuff “Launch Pod”, an inflatable water trampoline.
